Undead - Quantumsurfer



Skeletons strike down Pizzaro, but he takes down one with him!

Pizzaro: 'Heh. To end this way... I've been through some crazy adventures, but nothing would top this.'



Bone archers snipe down an elven spearman.

Gawain Valeera - Brikguy0410



Valeera swiftly avenges Pizzaro by cutting down to skeletons.



Bone archers are taken care off by the phalanx and the rangers.

Quantumsurfer: Eliminated

Gurak - Silverdream



With all nearby foes eliminated, Gurak rushes towards the portal and whacks his axe at it. Even though it fails to do damage, the entire structure shakes from the force of the impact.

Isabella - Bragallot



Isabella confronts the Destroyer: 'Your days of enslaving my countrymen for your dark purposes are over! I shall strip the taint that is you from Torquemada!'



The Destroyer: 'Fool! That mortal and I are permanently fused and one!'

Isabella: 'In that case... you force my hand!'



Isabella unleashes an empowered lightning bolt, dealing 1 hp damage to the Destroyer (down to its last).

Lady Liana - Scratch



Liana picks up her father's runesword.



Afterwards, she uses it to bind the Destroyer (-1 action).





The storm titan grabs and attempts to crush the Destroyer, but fails and ends up simply dropping him.



The siege engine is the one that delivers the ultimate killing blow, crushing the ebon-clad warlord.

The heroes gather as the battle is over.

Isabella: 'Where's Pizzaro?'
Valeera: 'I am afraid your friend didn't make it.'
Isabella: 'Oh no... Look! The debris!'



From the charred pile of ebonite, a darkened figure of Torquemada emerges.



Isabella: 'Torque! Could it be?'
Torquemada: 'Cough... don't be ridiculous, Isabella! The corruption is still within me... the blast must have knocked it out for a little.'
Isabella: 'There has to be a way to solve this Torque, some cure, something magi-'



Torquemada: 'Pull together Isabella! The fiend and I are one. The only way to solve this... is for me to close the portal... from the inside.'
Isabella: 'But that's suicide! You will be left drifting between the rift between realms, slowly torn apart by the dimensional drafts!'
Torquemada: 'That may be, but so will this... monstrosity. For the benefit of the Republic, we must die. Come Isabella, I will need you to do this.'



Isabella: 'Please leave with the survivors. Shutting down a portal by force could end up catastrophically.'
Liana: 'Understood.'
Gurak: 'What about my people!'
Torquemada: 'The orks, and whatever remaining Falx in the ebon quarries will be freed from this malaise once the portal is shut down.'



Isabella: 'I shall contain you in a static field; it should not allow the monster to break loose and seep away.'



Torquemada: 'FALX COMMAND! IF YOU CAN HEAR THIS, LET IT BE KNOWN THAT THE INVASION WAS A FAILURE, AND EBONITE HAS PROVEN TO BE A POOR CHOICE TO CONSTRUCT PORTALS FROM! AS OF CURRENT, THE TAKEOVER OF NORTHEROS WOULD BE TOO COSTLY FOR THE SMALL GAIN IT COULD YIELD. ABORT REINFORCEMENTS AND DELIVER MY MESSAGE TO HIGH COMMAND!'



Torquemada: 'Tearing down the rift between portals in such violent fashion will cause a massive feedback, probably destroying the structure on their eAAARGH!'
Isabella: 'Torque!'
The Destroyer: 'FOOLISH INSECTS! YOU CANNOT EXILE ME! wITHOUT ME, THIS WORLD IS DOOMED!'
Torquemada: 'Hold us, Isabella!'



The Destroyer in its blind rage tries to tear down the portal.

Torquemada: 'Your efforts are in vain, we're in the rift! Say goodbye to this realm!'
Isabella: 'This world has its guardians, despot! We have seen their true strength, and it's nothing compared to your vile schemes!'
Torquemada: 'Isabella! All this mess was my due to my hubris! I wish you to watch over our surviving kinsmen. You may be cut off from the Republic, but you should still remain as proud Falx.'



The rift devours Torquemada and the Destroyer, dragging them to the realm between realms, where they will very likely suffer an agonizing death, fading into void. The immense magikal feedback causes the weakened structure to collapse from its own weight.



Isabella: 'We will, Torque. Farewell, old friend.' *salutes*

That rounds up Gatecrash, and the Falx Invasion storyarc! As always, thank you so much for playing; I hope you had a great time throughout this, and all previous battles of the arc!

Great game, epic epilogue. Well done, just really well done. I'm happy to have been a part of it. Again, thank you.

Well we sure turned that around in the end didn't we Awesome battle, the epilogue was pretty epic too, that was the best use of my suggestions I could have hoped for

TorquemaDestroyer getting blasted thru the portal was the initial plan for the finale, it wasn't sure how heroically/honorably would he do that until about a week ago. Guess we were in synch once again!
