Army of JAM: Civil War TURN 7 & FINAL

Post by Bluefog » Mon Mar 09, 2015 12:40 am

Not too many players or figs left.

Didn't take many pics cuz I didn't need to.

Here's how this shit went down.

Image
Warhead's initiative barely edged out Zarko's (Silverdream) remaining horde. He ordered the robots to attack the two mutants at the top of the map...
and the one that was in range critical failed dropping his weapon.

Image
The other robot managed to move 5" closer to the top two mutants. (another sideways pic... I didn't even realize.)

Image
Warhead (Legomc) handled business on his own. He shouts "NOBODY MESSES WITH FUCKIN' WARHEAD!" and completely annihilates the OTC wielding mutant. I mean he literally dusted this guy.

Image
The "top map" mutants managed to gun down the robot that critical failed.

A suggestion for hosting forum battles like this that have gone down to the nitty gritty, and there Is not much left that can be done but watching and seeing how the dice shake out;

It is sometimes preferable to play out a few turns at a time using the same orders; less work for you to do, and more stuff to read for the people who are reading it.

e.g. here you could play out the battle between the 3 v 3 pretty easily over a couple of turns, and it would also read more like a fight than a disjointed series of encounters.

I agree. This was literally my first one. There are a lot of things I'm going to do differently next time. Thanks for the tip man.

Only needed another five pics so decided just to add to this post.

Wow is all I can say.

Image
The last two members of Zarko's (Silverdream) horde rolled highest initiative. They opened fire on the last remaining robot. It died.

Image
Warhead (Legomc) lunged forward attempting to spear the closest mutant with his bayonet but he didn't do enough damage!

Image
The mutants go next and the mutant that survived Warhead's attack leaps into the seat of the mech and swings it's massive OTC arm stabbing Warhead and throwing him back. -1 HP. The other mutant rolls a successful hit and actually rolls high enough to knock off the other HP.

Warhead is dead!

It's all over!

...

It was obviously not the real Warhead.

Image
The mutants would like to give their heartfelt thanks to the other players and minifigs.

Just so everyone knows I'm going to be getting better, for next time I plan to have:

- Better terrain (larger and more cover)
- Stats (total kills, etc. Didn't even cross my mind this time)
- Anything else anyone suggests that is easily doable.

And I'm going to try to be more accurate with the orders.

If you mean Concave Dolphin could benefit from being run over by a tank, I think they already have.

you did pretty well for it being your first forum battle actually; turns got in on a pretty consistent and timely manner, photo quality was generally pretty good. I'd say you are already at a pretty similar level of competency as most other people who host forum battles here.

Game went pretty well, congrats to the mutant horde players!
