Battle for the Yutonian Map - Final

Post by Kaplan » Fri Jun 05, 2015 7:34 am

Welcome to final of the Battle for the Yutonian Map;
For Battle for the Yutonian Map - Introduction: http://www.brikwars.com/forums/viewtopi ... 16&t=13041
For Battle for the Yutonian Map - Turn I: http://www.brikwars.com/forums/viewtopi ... 16&t=13073
For Battle for the Yutonian Map - Turn II: http://www.brikwars.com/forums/viewtopi ... 16&t=13100
For Battle for the Yutonian Map - Turn III: viewtopic.php?f=16&t=13305

Reminder: At the beginning of this turn the distribution of forces are like this:

Polish hussars got off their horses to capture Prof.Dr. Andre Tocko and his assistant to learn the location of the Yutonian map...

...but a black dropship landed with high speed crushing the cottage.

Image
It turned out that the MAOX forces were able to complete their prime directive just by landing their ship!

Image
Image
Suddenly a bright lightning fell together with a thunder. A female godlike creature came down.

Image
She spoke: "I am Iren. I am one of the elder gods. Warriors of this glorious battlefield, The time has came to stop the battle. Peace will last as long as your leaders keep their promises." and used her divine powers to convince the armies to fall back and end the battle!

Braunberg medic found Sackhead on the battlefield.

He tried to rescue him by Ker-triage.

Image
He was succesful. Maybe Sackhead lost one but his lust for revenge got bigger than ever.

Important note from the host:
I'm sorry to end this battle in the fourth turn. I tried to build and play as much as I can but in the last 6-7 months I got many important issues in my real life including health issues, job issues and preparation for marriage. Eventualy I came to the point that I had to disassemle the battlefield because I'm moving out to a new house. After learning about the peace treaty between NATO and TA I thought that a proper (maybe too premature) ending would be better than an unfinished battle.
I thank so much for the participants for their interests and helps and I would do my best to make better battles in future if you would like to participate again. I hope to see you later in another forum battle.

Mission accomplished! 8)

Thanks for the time of carrying out the orders, Kaplan. The Death Korps made quite an entrance!

Anyways, I think everyone is sad that the battle must end (as everyone should be) but on the other hand it was glorious and enjoyable from start to finish, so :studgod:

Best wishes and good luck, hope you sort all that real-life stuff soon so you can host another one of these! :guinness:

Thanks mate. Actually I've nearly past the majority of difficulties. In 2 months I will be hopefully done with all my important time consuming challanges. :)
Until then I will post new smaller stuff whenever I have time.

I guess really the only suggestion would be that it's a lot easier to finish battles when they are smaller in size. I like to keep armies down to maybe 10 minifigs of assorted types and perhaps 1 small-medium vehicle; but lots of different armies and players make for more fun. this is true both in person and for forum battles.

Big ones tend to take like 1 month per turn. So it's almost inevitable that life will find a way to interupt; if not for you, then for one of the players, who might end up not sending in orders eventually.

All in all though, looked like it was turning out to be a pretty decent battle; lots of carnage, good building techniques, etc.

It all makes sense now, the puzzle pieces are coming together.
