Mystery on Combine - Turn 02

Previous Turn: Turn One

Starting with this turn, order of play will be determined by a d20.

Robots: 17 | Firefighters: 15 | Construction Workers: 12 | Wolves: 9 | Sheriffs: 8 | Research Team: 6(20) | Undead: 6(16)

A droid finds and loads the mortar station. The crate is holding 4 rounds. He waits to fire until he is given a target.

Droids and machines continue their advance. The signal jammer hides behind a building and grabs the combat shotgun. He cannot use it unless he downloads a combat AI program. This will take a full turn. The jammer cannot multitask so you'll have to choose between downloading a combat AI and continuing to jam communications. I will default to continuing the blackout unless you specify otherwise.

A Destroyer cannot damage the fleeing civilian vehicle.

Droids have similar trouble killing firefighters.

A Destroyer kills Jack of the Research Team, but the speeder pilot fails to hit.

Firefighters sprint to a nearby building.

Image

They open a house and start to usher civilians into its shelter.

The hungry civilian is still miffed that his fire was put out, so he peels out in his ATV.

Jason can't find any pieces, and the droids are firing all around him, so he compromises and grabs an artillery round.

He starts on his way back.

Image

Barry wounds an undead horse with his jackhammer.

Image

But he is slain on a counter attack.

Image

The other two construction workers retreat behind a the toilet and get ready to throw things at their enemies.

The Specialist Wolf reaches the tower at the Police Station. Next turn the Wolves can send and receive basic communication with the orbiting fleet. Behind him the Standard Wolves get behind cover and prepare to a fight.

One wolf tries to hit the undead cavalry, but he fails to do enough damage.

SSGT Andrus and the Rocketeer fire at nearby Droids.

The Destroyer, Speeder and Pilot are all destroyed.

They get into new firing positions.

Image

The sheriffs run to the center of town, trying to encourage the civilians to stand and fight.

The young lad at the weapons stockpile fires the machine gun at the robots, but misses spectacularly. The gun jams, but the boy doesn't know how to reload.

Two others aren't as jazzed by the sheriff's bravery and they run from the undead in fear.

Another civilian pulls his car over and draws his handgun, upset he didn't wear his bullet proof sweater vest today.

Samantha finishes loading up the research materials on the rover.

The undead cavalry charge into response fire from a Wolf and the construction workers storm of thrown pieces. Both are ineffective.

A wolf pays for it with his life.

Image

Undead reanimate constructs and warriors attack some civilians.

Image

A civilian vomits blood as his mind slips away from him. Elsewhere, the warrior tears a civilian in half.

The Necromancer jumps onto the vacant horse and uses a feat to raise two corpses to life. Undead Bary and reUndead wardriver will have the same stats as the reanimate constructs. Nearby a warrior construct finds a chainblade.

He charges towards the sheriff who drew first blood, full of fury.

His horse trips and he's launched into Deputy Sullivan.

He kills her and retrieves his staff of power.

Some reanimates see the criminals in the jail and are momentarily distracted.

The horde advances.

Image

The MG team looks for a suitable location for their gun.

I have spotted two cloneded men so far... One of them under my own command. They're spreading.

Captain Zebra I still need orders from you. I'll be running the turn on Wednesday the 23rd in the evening so the game doesn't drag out too long. If your orders aren't in by that evening (which is tomorrow, I guess) I'll roll for your commands on the Table of Orders.
