Troopers fire on the advancing DSM.
And kill two of them.
The guys on the roof are out of luck as they don't hit anything.
The troops coming from the main entrance move on and fire on the DSM as well.
And they kill two more.
Those that did not make it far enough destroy the DSM flyer. The pilot gets killed in the crash.
The 4x4 pilot realizes that the machine gun is still jammed. He will be able to fix it by the next turn.
This guy goes on response action awaiting DSM.
The warden tells his bodyguard to stay alert while he enters the armory.
The troops downstairs destroy one of the smaller droids.
The scientists successfully install a new firewall to the computer systems.
Deadly Space Men played by Brickguy1014:
Trying to be clever the DSM file into the prison one by one in order to trigger the Briktopian response fire.
In the end three DSM and two Briktopian troopers are dead.
The Javelin again unloads everything it has on the Retaliator killing it for good this time. It's right machine
gun needs to be reloaded though. The Retaliator's pilot bailed.
The remaining DSM flyers kills another soldier.
Backing up the RedTub provides the DSM with some cover from the Briktopians' fire.
Under the RedTubs protection they mow down one more enemy.
Catherine tinkers with the robot she deployed earlier but it explodes into her face [feat critically failed]. She
is lucky not to take any damage though.
Dr. Braghardt played by Duerer:
Two droids get some weapons.
But apparently they are a bit rusty, not hitting anything.
The robot arm in the interrogation chamber swivels towards Braghardt's cell.
"Aaaiiiiiiiaiiaiaiaiiiiaiiiiii!"
Tormented by torture flashbacks Dr. Braghardt is unable to do anything else this turn. [feat failed]

A medik tries to revive one of the fallen DSM.
Success! He looks as good as ever.
One more Briktopian trooper gets gunned down by the DSM.
The flyer shoots the guys on the roof but misses both.
So does the Red Tub.
Benjamin engages the battle droid and inflicts some damage (2/3).
The last trooper defending the staircase gets gunned down.
And most of the DSM proceed towards the lower level.
Dr. Braghardt played by Duerer:
The larger droid shoot at the soldiers killing one of them. One of the weapons had a malfuction. The smaller
service droids attack in close combat but don't do enough damage.
Dr. Braghardt tries to circumvent the firewall but his feat fails. It's still in action.
The he barricades his cell.

The prison warden grabs the biggst gun he can find in the armory.
He and his bodyguard kill one DSM each while the battle droid actually misses Benjamin.
Downstairs a service droid gets beaten down by a trooper but the other one misses his shot.
The scientists try to regain control over the droids but they fail.
The pilot fires the machine gun at the DSM but hits none of them (a six would have been required to hit).
The Red Tubs pilot is killed though.
The infantry retreats with the ones further out front protecing the backs of the others.

Four more take care of the last defender on this side.
And the last three manage to kill one of the retreating Briktopians near the prison wall.
The flyer fails to hit the guys on the roof yet again. Even worse, one of the flyer's guns critfails and breaks.
The Javelin aims its maingun at the group of retreating men...
...but despite or because of all the targeting computers the weapon critfails and is reset into default factory settings.
Dr. Braghardt played by Duerer:
Via the droid he directly controls Braghardt makes the computer next to the scientists explode. Both die from the blast. [feat successful]
The other droids kill the last Briktopian soldier.
Dr. Braghardt grabs the closest thing to a weapon which he can find. A bottle of wine.
Briktopians played by bann154:
The soldiers on the roof fire at the advancing DSM. One of them almost drops his weapon...
...but the other one gets a clean kill!
The retreating troops fire as well...
...and kill two more attackers.
The third trooper fails miserably though and fires directly at the barrel in front of him.
The resulting explosion is disappointing though as it harms noone.
All of the remaining soldiers rush back into the prison complex.
With the first two entering the main corridor.
The warden, his bodyguard and the 751 battle droid all take a shot at Benjamin. He is a lucky bastard though as
he shrugs of all the damage. The battle droid misses again btw - Briktopia will demand a refund by the Alltimate
Corporation if it continues to perform as poorly as this!

Dr. Braghardt gets freed from his cell.
Outside, the flyer speeds towards the roof defenders...
...and crashes right into the building. The defenders managed to bail, so did the DSM pilot. The latter died
from the explosion though while the former were lucky to jump away far enough.
The Javelin can't quite reach the retreating Briktopians. All rockets were used up earlier. At least the main
weapon is now fixed again.
The remaining DSM move further towards the prison building.

They set up defensive positions.
The Retaliator's pilot runs into the mechanik's workshop: "Quick, we need way more dakka!"
"Err, let's see what i can find in my stash..."
"Here, take this Immortal InfinityTech(TM) case. Hope that helps?"

Dr. Braghardt successfully hacks the Alltimate droid and it starts firing at the prison warden!
But he is saved by his bodyguard who does exactly what he was hired for and redshirts him.

The hacked Alltimate droid fires at the Warden. The damage dealt is tremendous but he is barely saved by his heroic
armor roll.
More droids are coming up the stairs but they fail to harm the Warden!
Dr. Braghardt prepares to leave. The droid that served him so well on the computer grabbed a weapon.
Deadly Space Men played by Brikguy014:
The DSM move forward but cannot see anything on the roof fromm their position.
Their brethren are about to enter the building.
The first two that stepped in get gunned down however.
This guy made it in and is closely followed by Catherin.
Firing its main gun the Javelin wrecks the front door.
One trooper is killed by debris.
The medik continues his amazing streak. Another DSM revived and not amputations!
The last DSM decide to defend the stairs leading up.

The pilot opens the Immortal InfinityTech(TM) suitcase hoping to find some reinforcements therein.
WASG failure! Instead he pulls out a swarm of vermin which immedeatly begins eating him.
Three troops try to take out the rogue Alltimate droid but their shots only leave some scratches on it.
The others move up.
One droid is taken out by the Warden.
On the roof both soldiers get up. The one that dropped his weapon earlier takes the radio from the dead DSM pilot
while the other's weapon malfunctions.

The Alltimate battledroid shoots the trooper right next to him.
The other droids fire at the Warden but cannot overcome his heroic armor roll.
Accompanied by another droid Dr. Braghardt comes up the stairs... (actually the stairs are leading down, i couldn't fit the piece another way)
Together they kill the Warden! There was noone around to redshirt him this time.

The others kill the last DSM that entered the building.
While the vermin swarm is stil feeding the mechanik carefully takes the InfinityTech(TM) suitcase...
He takes out a dangerous looking bomb! (WISG roll successful!)
The vermin decide it's time to leave.
"We really need some help here!" The radio appears to work now.
"Acknowledged." (WISG roll successful)
A Briktopian Orca fighter bomber appears in the sky and is ready for a strafing run next turn.
Finally the other roof defender shoots the DSM medic who did so well until this point. The Briktopian rolled
_exactly_ what he needed both for the out of range hit as well as damage.

Benjamin and his companions take the stairs leading up.
"Whoo, look at that Alltimate bot. I have a great idea." - "Oh sh..."
"Shoot exactly where is showed you!"
They shoot the power pak on its back and it goes boom!
The blast radius is small but intense. Large chunks of the surrounding walls get reduced to rubble.
Retribution for the killed DSM medic comes swiftly.
The DSM move towards the hole in the wall.
A recently revived DSM is of a mind to catch a ride.
He commandeers the vehicle.
And drives towards the prison.
The last DSM fires into the building but doesn't hit anyone inside.
Catherine tries to unload her SMG down along the corridor... but it jams again! (feat failed)
For good measure the Javelin wrecks the laser turret nex to the main entrance.

With all armed opposition gone, Dr. Braghardt easily strolls out of the prison.
Braghardt is free and the survivors leave. Winners of this battle: Brikguy014 and Duerer

the final option and arms the bomb...

Man this battle was awesome, an excellent read from start to finish. What an ending too.
