Welcome to the exciting conclusion of Revel Rousers!

Top Thread

Sanitation Overseer (Duerer):

Image

The Sanitation Overseer stored the OT booze in his “Inventory” and sets his sights on the nearby kitchen.

Image

He approaches the kitchen and produces a PT magnifying glass. It’s magikal properties are a trusty aid to any Sanitation Overseer.

Image

Several red flags leap out at him.

Image

Raw fish placed haphazardly, cross-contamination aplenty.

Image

And dishes cluttering the sink, what a mess!

Image

The Overseer steps out of the kitchen, not looking very happy. 3/3 strikes.

Image

His gaze aligns with the taverns nearby staff. “By decree of the Saniation Administration, this ‘ere establishment has…”

Image

“…Failed ter’ required standards."

Tavern Staff (mgb519):

Image

The remaining bar maiden rushes over to the Overseer, grabbing a bottle along the way. She attempts to spray him with volatile cleaning chemicals, but critfails. The bottle is empty!

Image

The Chef climbs out of the boiling hot soup, looking entirely enraged. The bubbling liquid seems to have severely seared his face.

Image

"FUCK YOUR STANDARDS!"

Image

The Chef lifts the entire cauldron up, fuming just as much as the kettle.

Image

He then performs a feat, leaping up into the air with the intentions of bashing the Sanitation Overseer’s head in.

Image

But the Overseer is ready for him. He parries!

Image

The Chef crashes to the floor, defeated.

Esduin (Silent_Sigfig):

Image

(Esduin's coinflip for the turn. Getting a -1 penalty.)

Image

The last archer fires a potshot at Ken, he misses.

Image

“Bah! You’re hardly worth wasting time on!” He then shouts, using the excuse as justification to run away.

“No it’s okay, I’ll just hang out here.” Ken mumbles.

Image

Thorailin tries to run his blade through the icebreaker’s neck. He doesn’t deal enough damage to do much.

Image

Failing that, the elf lieteniant wheels around and charges toward Gisella.

Image

His blood-alcohol level doesn’t seem to help him much as he just bumps into the long table she stood on.

“Feeling a little tipsy, elf?”

“Oof! Y-you’ll pay for this!”

Frostborne (bann154):

Image

(Frostborne also recieved a -1 penalty for the turn.)

Image

The icebreaker stumbles toward Thorailin and tries to smack the elf with his hammer again, and once again the hammer doesn’t meet its desired target. “Godel-dammit, its broked!”

Image

Ken meanwhile removes himself from the window. “Well, that turned out to be more fun then I thought it would.”

Norsemen (RedRover):

Image

(The Norse received a +1 to their skill rolls for the turn.)

Image

The Norse warriors charge into Thorailin, crying out in unison.

Image

This was the overwhelming combined damage compared to Thorailin's armor roll.

Image

Which finally brings the elf down.

Well that about wraps up the battle, but stay tuned for the conclusion!

Epilogue:

Image

The Sanitation Overseer hands the barmaid, the last surviving member of the Frosty Flagon’s staff, a roll of parchment. “You ‘ave a fortnight to comply with these here instructions. After that, we’ll be back for further inspections. You’d best hope this establishment is passable by then, ma'am...”

"B-but..."

Image

The Overseer teleports out, leaving the maid to clean up the mess.

Image

Ken steps toward his dwarvern companion. “Hey Ohrim you haven’t moved an inch this entire time. Are you alright?”

Image

“Can’t believe it… they actually found us. After all this time…” Ohrim mumbles on, his words getting lost in the depths of his beard. Ken asks what the dwarf was talking about, but Ohrim refuses to answer comprehensibly.

Image

Deciding to leave the troubled dwarf alone, Ken carefully approaches the Norsemen. “I guess we won, huh?"

Image

“Bah,” Gisella glares down at him, “and with hardly any thanks to you and your Frostlings. What an honorable “kaptain” you’ll be, sneaking and striking from the shadows.”

Image

“Well,” Ken grins, “good thing we’re on the same side then right?

Image

“Hmph. Looks like our friend Thorailin is still breathing, although not for long.”

Image

Ken nods at Gisella and moves in to intercept the dying elf. “Hey pal,” Ken greets raising his ebony blade Thorailin’s throat, “so who are you jerks and why’d you attack us? Answer, and maybe I’ll help you die faster.”

Image

Thorailin chuckles through a mouthful of blood. “I already told… you,” he says. “We’re Esduin… North Esduin. Holy Palidins of her--“ he coughs, “—Majesty.”

“So there's more of you guys?” Ken asks quietly.

Thoralin tries to laugh again, which only results in a fit of sputtering coughs. They soon subside, but the elf looks faint. “We were just… the scouts.”

Image

The elf lieutenant grows silent as he bleeds out. Ken and the rest of the minifigs in the tavern stare at his corpse, the elf’s last words haunting them.

Image

“Just scouts?” Ken repeats, “Then that means…”

“Yeti shit,” Gisella confirms.

Image

“Ken, I think we should go. The rest of our people need to be warned of this."

Image

Several pairs of boots storm into the tavern and can be heard down the street outside. “Ho there!” Shouts a familiar voice.

Image

“Ken? Is that you?” It’s Farcus, son of Jarl Barbous and heir to the throne. “Come with me, all of you! A massive force is approaching Pinewood and we need all the help we can muster!”

Hours later...

Image

"So, about my reward..."

"I've got a better idea. Here, start mopping." The bar maid hands her elderly savior a broom. The old man looks uncertain as ever.

"Oh... okay."

Image

Meanwhile the nearby cauldron rises from atop The Chef. He lives!

"This... isn't... over..."

~To be Continued~

Closing notes: Hope everyone enjoyed the battle as much as I enjoyed conducting it! Also thanks to all the participants, especially with your patience for getting this final turn finished. Life happens, sometimes. As per usual however, you can probably expect more from me in the future. All-out war is approaching the Upper Norselands.

I really hope that both the sanitation engineer and the chef appear in the next battle.

Chef is actual mastermind. The elven force is all a distraction for his true nefarious plot.
