Some mysterious anouncer guy: Welcome to Assault the Building. This iz a two player battle (sorry), and it is fought between the Anti-Peach League, and Shivarian troops. The Shivarian objective is to infiltrate the building, and kill all the APL. The APL goal is to not die, and to kill all the Shivarians. The Shivarian scouts were only able to report the overview of the building, but not troop numbers and positions. The APL has no idea were the Shivarians will hit them from. The APL player will have the option to place his/her troops in certain places, and the Shivarian player can choose were to attack from. The other option iz I surprise them with random placement. (Note: although troop count is unknown, the battle is still fair in terms of unit count, and weapons. Main diff is the Shivarians have HardLight weapons, and the APL have projectile weapons).

Turn 1 has been done, and pics taken, and they should be posted tomorrow hopefully. Once pics are posted, next due date for orders will be determined.

TURN 1!!!
SHIVARIAN TURN

Both sides are surprised to see each other so soon...

The Shivarians react first, putting down suppressive fire, and they manage to kill a couple APL troopers,
but one mg jammed his gun


Meanwhile the Shivarian infantry make a break for the Southern door


APL TURN

the shotgun guy moves to cover the door...

the APL infantry open fire on the Shivarian mg's...

...and kill one MachineGunner

one APL mg shifts to cover the East side...

while the other mg scrambles to find a shooting position

After shooting, the APL infantry get behind whut cover they have to avoid being killed next turn...



and one manages to jump up and over the wall behind him

OK! Turn 1 is in, finally. Orders are due before Friday, the 27th. As long as the orders are in before then, it doesn't really matter when.
Quikly would be noice, but i don't wanna rush anything.

Shoot. The quarter us almost over, and im gonna go on va-ca with my family. If I don't get turn 2 up tomorrow, I apoligize, and promise to get turn 2 when I get home.

An another note, i can't decide for my self and i don't wanna send a PM cuz im here currently, so..
Texnophille, ans AZKAMAT, if you guys want the game to last past turn 3 or 4 (most figs have died, as youll soon see), then if you guys want, reinforcements can be sent in for both teams. if you guys don't care, or don't want a longer-ish battle, we'll just continue with the current/remaining forces. A PM or discord, or a thread post are fine for reply.

(If there isn't a answer(unlikely) then we'll just continue with the current troops.)

TURN 2
APL

The other APL mg gets into position to cover the East side...



... and all the APL troopers open up on the Shivarians

Three rifle guys go down...

one mg guy is a blob of....of...

... and the other mg is not looking good either
the shotgun dude stood by the wall, and wasn't in range to shoot and achieve anything, so he stood there and stared into space.
Shivarians

The Shivarian rifle team splits, and moves to fire the APL outside the building


The aftermath of their attack leaves just one APL outside the East wall

Next turn, both the APL and Shivarians will receive reinforcements.
Orders for turn 3 are due the midnight of November 8th

TURN 3
SHIVARIANS

The Shivarians open up turn3 by running to the wall, firing as they go, while two troopers wait for reaction
This also invite APL mg response fire

The APL guy outside feels the Shivs fire but only for a second

Two Shivs go down to APL mgs..

..but the third Shivarians lucky shot pulps an ema-g

He slides up next to his remaining comrades

APL

The shotgun guy finaly takes a shot at something

he manages to blow the rifle out of this guys hands, and scares the briks out of him

the rifle doesn't get far though

the shotgun guy goes back into cover, happy to have scared some guy brikless

This dude discards his blaster in favor of the deceased mg guys mg, because it doesn't seem like he'll be needing it anytime soon.

Then he sets up to cover the door and that little mg wall slit

He ran back here in hopes of finding another machinegun, but all he found were some explosive luanchers, some regular guns, and some cannon shells


REINFORCMENT TYME!!!!

APL!! YOU have new troops!!!!!
The leftmost guy is a APL soldier with a size 2 RPG, the middle front guy is an APL heavy with a dual size 3 flamethrower, the middle rear guy is a APL heavy with a assault rifle/grenade launcher attachment under barrel, and the rightmost guy is an APL soldier with an RPG.

SHIVARIANS! YOU ALSO GET MOAR PEOPLE!!!!

You get a motorbike with mg sidecar..

..and another mg, as well as a bazooka team (you will get a few more troops after turn 4 too)

Obviously theres something here worth getting, and its not only those munitions... it probably has something to do with the data stored in the antenna box.

These guys move up abit

This guy grabs his rifle, then joins his comrades, all while uttering revenge on that shotgun guy

The APL mg guy hears the Shivs trying to sneak up, and opens fire

The mg guy only scores one hit, but roles lousy for damage, and the Shivarian rifleman that killed the first APL mg gets lucky again.

The Shivs climb over the wall, entering the base.

It doesn't go kwite as planned, as this guy crit-fails, and falls on his face, right in a freshly killed APL
He's disrupted until the end of the Shivarian turn 5

The brikless Shiv sees his chance to take revenge. . .

All his crappy damage roll does is tick the shotgun guy off. . .

. . .and at this range the result should be obvious

The bazooka and Mg guys move towards the building

And the motorbike heads North

This guy ditched his mg for a rocket tube, he takes aim at the lone standing Shiv trooper. . .

. . .at this point, his luck runs out.

It's rocket spent, the trooper drops the tube, and goes to grab another one

The shotgun climbs over

And finds himself a nice kemping korner

This rocket guy heads toward the south door

While the rest of the heavies head to the north area

APL

This guy picks up his mg and moves behind the radio box

The flamer moves into the building

These guys move up to cover the Northern approach

And this guy covers the South
Not much shooting, so they save for later

Shivarans (NPC'ed)

The bike heads North some more

The troops move up, and the mg opens fire

Bye shotgun guy

Again the Shivs climb over

And again, one crit-fails and falls. He's disrupted until end of Shiv turn 6

The bazooka guy tries to hit the Flamer with splash damage

Mission acomplished

This provokes response fire from the mg and APL Rpg guy
the mg jammed, so no pic

Target down. the splash also killed the disrupted guy. the guy he is laying on is alive, but stayed down to not die

Shivs have a medic and a Shiv Tithe now too

This was my first ever battle that I hosted, and the second forum battle I took part in some way. I would love feedback and constructive criticism (bs criticism is fine, I won't care) on what you thought, how it went, gameplay, etc.

A couple things I thought of were my pic taking skills need some improvement, and I need to come up with better names for stuff. I think the name "The Barrens" is a step in that direction. What can be done to make this more fun?

Turn 5+1

This rpg guy fires on the arriving shiv medic and tithe

The mg/rocket guy stays put
No shooting.

This guy vaults over

Provoked response fire ends with the rocket exploding in the guys face.
Unnamed Shiv mg: "Heh, bodak. . ."


This guy sprang up to shoot, but he crit-failed

ths Shivarian bike tears around the corner, and the mg exchanges fire with the APL heavies

The bike absorbs the damage, and the underslung grenade launcher finishes off the bike, blowing it up, sending the two passengers flying

the mg guy burns to death- "scream"

the driver gets thrown into the wall, you can sorta see him through the pillar

The bike careens of to the left, and crashes into an invisible barrier called, "the limits of my table because i don't want to pick it up later"

the console is unguarded, and its 3v2. One Shiv can receive an armor bonus for turn 7 on a roll of 4+

If you wondered, "bodak" is a derogatory term, similar to calling someone an ifidel, or inferior, with a few choice words. There is no literal translation, as it is from the "Pre-reminiscent" Shivarian language, which was mostly lost through war and relocation a second time.
