Valarius and two Shieldbearers attack the Commander, who wisely turns to parry Valarius' attack. The Shieldbearers drop their shields in favour of making two-handed swings, thus becoming just Bearers for the time being.
Valarius misses his first strike, so he makes a Heroic Feat to make another one. His men both crit fail. Valarius gets an Over The Top Benny and rolls a pitiful 1 (3 total) damage. Now that I think about it the Commander actually should've failed his parry rolling a 3 due to the penalty from being outnumbered, but oh well. I also forgot about his armour giving him deflection so it evens out that way.
The Commander gets a return strike, but this attack is deflected.
Ambushers reposition and fire at the Reavers. One falls.
A Shieldbearer sees an opportunity for a charge, can't resist and takes it, killing the final Reaver.
One Shieldbearer starts dragging off the Arktifakt while another moves into position to guard his buddy's back.
The Shaman starts to wake up. He will be ready for action on his next turn.
The icons pull the bridge towards them with their halberds and start to cross.
