Following the colonization of Genoa, an alliance of families resisted the Roman rule, attempting to lead a rebellion to reinstate the previous leadership. This didn't go very well, and, after a series of humiliatingly crushing defeats, only a small outpost, shattered body guard and a bunch of peasants protect the head of one of the strongest families; the house of Tombeteau...
The keep of Espére, the walls holding the biggest hope for revolution against the rule of the Borgions. Within reside the cobbled bodyguard and what few followers that could make it. Upon the rocky-based battlements stand Pierre Tombeteau and Jaques LaBuveur, leader of the guards of the keep and bodyguard.
Pierre: This map shows the current location of all of our allies, and I am sad to say that, due to the mountain territories, they will be unable to provide help against the Legions.
Jaques: This is indeed a terrible blow; but surely the terrain would stop our attackers as well?
Pierre: That is likely so, and even if a small force gets thr-
Sniper: Enemy force sighted Captain! Over on the horizon!
And indeed there was!
Wolfgang:It appears that we have caught up these traitorous peaches scurrying back to their hole. Our orders from the Emperor are clear; destroy every remnant of resistance.
Wolfgang: Prepare to advance upon the keep. For the glory of the New Roman Empire!
Legionaries: For the glory of the New Roman Empire!
Jaques: Guards! To me! Ready to repel all enemies! The freedom of Genoa depends upon it!
Welcome to Eagles and Weasels! This is my first Forum battle, so things may be a little rough. Nonetheless, I shall try to run it as smoothly as possible.
Available factions:
Guards: (baconquisador) Protect the keep and Pierre Tombeteu. If it is still in your possession in the next 9 turns, or if the Roman forces are destroyed, then you claim victory!
Peasants: (Scribonius) Help the Guards to claim victory!
New Roman forces: (Yours Truly) Take possession of the fort before the end of the 9 turns or completely eliminate all the Guards and Peasants to claim victory!
Secret Faction 1: (motorhead fan) Revealed at the end of turn 2
Secret Faction 2: (Bisbeedog) Revealed at the end of turn 4
