Finally here, folks. Strap in and get ready for the long overdue finale. I've forgotten a whole bunch so it'll be a fun ride for all of us. Also imgur is being a bit a jackass with how it's uploaded and sorted my photos so I hope it's all here.
Liossans make slow progress across the torn ground that used to be the palisade.
A crossbowman scores a kill.
Not far away the story repeats itself.
Crossbowman advance.
Fierce fighting occurs in close quarters.
It goes poorly for the defense.
Cavalry advance from the rear, ready for the killing blow.
Mercenaries hit hard, the front moves against Ancelot.
Ready... aim...
Fire!
The VIPs make ready to dash to safety.
The Vasli move as a unit toward the dock.
A crossbowman finds revenge.
Ancelot shouts an order.
One last shot.
A stunning impact.
The bolt smashes through a civilian and 3 Liossans.
Ancelot makes the most of his dire situation.
Rangers take defensive positions.
The Aethannians move quickly, securing prisoners.
"You're mine!"
A great initial success.
A quick Overwatch.
Ranged units use their height advantage with incredible efficiency.
Ancelot, surrounded and without aid, falls to many wounds.
The Liossans collide with the civilians.
Cavalry makes a well timed charge, cutting off the VIPs.
The fight is on with no casualties.
Men move up against the cavalry.
(Some indecipherable photos here... I think the ballista crew tried to fire again? I don't know. There was a photo of a nat 1 so something went wrong)
A good shot nets a kill.
The VIPs slip away.
Vasli infantry swarm the cavalry to make the VIP escape possible.
They do absurdly well.
Things do not look good for the last crossbowman.
Not well at all.
The Raiders continue their pillaging.
The VIPs board under arms.
Off they go into the sea.
With no one to oppose them, attacking ranged units rain steady death.
Vasli cavalry fight to the last.
Liossan command looks out over the water at the VIPs sailing slowly away.
The Raiders pull back their prizes to make their getaway.
Not a bad day to be in the prisoner business.
Final Overviews.
And that's all she wrote. Thanks for playing!
