
Sir Godwin, Lord Godfrey's son, grimly looks out over his father's lands, his eyes scanning the defenses. WIth his infamous father gone on crusade, the task of protecting his home falls to him.
'Stay put, hold the fort, and always expect trouble,' his father had told him before setting off, and the warning couldn't have been more right.
Imperial forces had occupied most of the Kingdom, and were encroaching on Lord Godfrey's lands as well.

Expecting an attack on the River Gate, Sir Godwin had ordered his men to construct a barricade that would deter the Empire's Water Demon and Drakloni allies should they attack from the river.
Suddenly, a call from one of the lookouts alerted him...
'Scouts returning!'

Sir Godwin looks to see a group of cavalrymen harassing an advancing formation of imperial spearmen.
"Those aren't just scouts," he says gruffly.
Capable of performing horse archer and light cavalry roles in equal measure, these are some of his best troops, experienced from years of fighting under his father's banner against the northern savages. Using the same tactics they were displaying now, they had been instrumental to the campaign's success, never allowing the savages rest.
Now, these men had done everything they could to slow down the imperial advance, but the Empire had arrived on their doorstep, at last.

Sir Godwin descends the walls and draws his sword.
"This is it, men. This is what we prepared for. To arms!"
