True Colors (Round 1)

Post by Bragallot » Sun Apr 23, 2023 3:54 pm

Note: since both sides were charging each other I gave all minifigs Response Actions and in some cases Response Feats.

Image

Sir Godwin is beset by a swarm of bats. Sensing a trick, he tries to keep his wits about him...

Image

... but when Xalen attacks, it all happens too fast. The dark knight cuts through his defenses and he sinks down with a gasp.

Image

Moments later, Drakon strikes, whirling past the bodyguards' swing and burying his sword in the back of her neck.

Image

Some failure on the Bulls' side. The mysterious commander beseeches the Bull God to strengthen his allies, but the Bull God summons a Bull Icon instead which kicks him over and tells him to :diy: , disrupting him. Voytek meanwhile snaps his bowstring.

"I hate it when that happens."

Image

Tatters runs to reclaim his staff, while Kyra watches over him.

Image

Scarlett, watched over by Lord Malagram, somehow uses the water demons' magic against them, combusting Fishstache's body. Lyra reaches her bow and fires a shot at the other bodyguard, but the arrow strikes into her shield.

Image

The matriarch tries a tricky move, but Lord James sees through it and knocks her pistol from her hand.

Image

He then slashes at her, equaling her armour and disrupting her.

Meanwhile the Raid Boss and Sir Almond begin to clash.

Image

Sir Almond outmaneuvers the Raid Boss, but his armour saves him. Fat Olaf rushes Lord Malagram, who takes a shot at him, but it is parried by his shield. Sir Jason meanwhile starts to ride around the fighting.

Image

Fat Olaf and Lord Malagram attack each other simultaneously. Malagram's sword scrapes off the water demons' armour as Fat Olaf's blade catches him in the neck, striking him down.

Sir Jason meanwhile prepares his horse for a mighty leap...

Image

He lands next to Lyra and prepares to knock her out.

Image

However she dodges past the strike and he loses his balance, falling from his horse and becoming disrupted. Despite this, he still manages to raise his sword and give a signal...

Image

From the treeline a group of Wolfpack bandits appear. Men who ask no more than 'how much'. They know they're up against the best of the best, but figure the element of surprise will give them an edge. They shoot their crossbows, hitting Voytek, but he survives.

Image

Sir Branton tries to shield bash Lord James to give the matriarch time to recover.

Image

However, Lord James contemptuously bats him aside, disrupting him.

Image

Lord James then tries to strike at the Raid Boss, but his sword slips from his grasp.

Image

Princess Lorreaine polevaults into combat.

Image

However she slips, falls, gets disrupted and gets her hand cut off by the bodyguard.

Image

Sir Jarvis engages the Raid Boss so Sir Almond can safely disengage.

Image

Sir Jarvis trips the Raid Boss up with a clever move, disrupting him.

Image

Sir Almond rushes the bodyguard that's attacking Lorreaine.

Image

His charge overcomes her parry and he skewers her.

Image

The king meanwhile runs to his horse.

Image

He gallops forward and aims his sword down at Sir Jason.

Image

Then rams it down into the traitorous knight's stomach!

Image

Two dark elf assassins appear behind Sir Xalen and Sir Drakon. Will they notice them on time?

Well, seems like the Princess skipped out on pole-vault day during her training...

But other than that, keep up the good work! We'll give these traitors hell!
