
A few hours after the initial skirmish for the mysterious cave, the tide has risen and cut off access to it.
A Draklon force has disembarked and occupied the beach, intent on waiting out the tide and entering the cave later.

However, a regiment ('tagma') of Kvernians formed from the remains of the mage's retinue that fought in the first skirmish and another nearby search party is quickly marching upon them, aiming to reclaim the beach and provide any assistance possible to the mage trapped inside the cave, who they presume is still alive.

They are acutely aware of the Silverwolves lurking on the forest's edge, however, for they too have returned with reinforcements. Like the Kvernians, they know one of their own, a werewolf, has made it inside the cave, and wish to assist him.
