The Battle of Mount Bleve
Mount Bleve (pronounced bleh-vee) was the site of an old mining village, long since consumed by the desert sands. Shadows of the village still remain, and the mine has since been discovered by scientists and used as a remote testing location for bizarre experimentations.
Then, for no reason whatsoever, 6 small groups of rogue bounty hunters and mercenaries showed up looking for treasure. They spread out around Mount Bleve, and found rare and astonishing crystals at each of three sites. What power do these crystals hold? Will temporary diplomacies remain intact as each groups' collective greed grows? That, my friends, is for you to decide.
Not unlike capture the flag, each team will begin with 1 crystal. This crystal will provide the team's medic with the power to bring fallen soldiers back from the dead (takes 2 full turns to recover). Should the crystal be removed from the team's site, they will lose this power. Bring a second crystal back to your camp, though, and you will gain a mercenary hero (who cannot be revived when killed) to fight for your cause. Have 3 crystals in your camp, and your units will all become invincible. The game ends when only one team remains.
Since I'm anticipating that this game will take many turns, I've decided to grant slots to the top 6 posters on the forums:
IVHorseman
pesgores
Bonn-O-Tron
Blitzen
james+burgundy
OneEye589
If any of you guys don't want to participate, you can give the slot to whoever you want (I'm trying to be efficient, not biased).
The best way to run this will be for you to give me blanket orders that will satisfy several turns, and then as you watch the battle, send me more specific instructions as you see fit.
Blanket Order Example:
Have 1 unit guard the camp, 1 unit man the machine gun emplacement, and have 3 units and hero move up the hill toward the base
Modification:
Ok, load that dead soldier's body into the catapult and fire him at pesgores' troops
You get the idea.
I'm almost finished with the battlefield, so I think I will start briefing you guys this weekend.

Darn, this sounds interesting. I am curious about what the battlefield will look like.

His selection method is effective, as he chose the most active forum members to participate because in theory, they take less time to post orders.
Except james+burgundy. He only comes when he feels like it and stay for a week then get lost for a month.
And Bonn. He's been a bit silent lately.

well if Bonn and james+ don't post here by the time I get home tonight, their spots will go to the first people to post here (MoronStudios and lrdofbricks).
If they don't want to participate or don't re-respond, then jifel and Warhead are in, and then Silent-sigfig and so on
