T.L.A. (Three Letter Acronym) fleet:

The capital ships are mostly cylindrical, with conical/domed nose cones.

Ships have multiple protruding antennas and heat exchange fins, and one large exhaust nozzle in the back.

Most ships are armed with a powerful fixed forward energy weapon and missiles. Ships carry fighters for anti-fighter defense. The fighters are shaped more like lifting bodies. (If you're not using fighters, then the smaller warships carry shrapnel missiles)

Here are some T.L.A. frigates I built a while ago. Larger ships are just bigger cylinders, with the other components scaled down.

And here's my vision for the fighters.

This will be cool, if it works. The first ever custom forum battle units!

Pirates:

Any old ship, mainly non-symetrical, modified cargo frieghters and comandeered frigates. Any color works well, as long as there's a skull-and-crossbones of some equivilant Lots of anti-fighter guns, EMPs, and boarding pods. Large cargo holds are a must. The few fighters must be different-colored versions of enemy ones

I think a smaller vessel that cuts parts off of enemy ships and puts them in our cargo frighters would be great.

ATTENTION: All current and future players - Along with your fleet, could I get a description of your general race and a Commander type-person?

I think Reavers suit this particular style better. Imperial ships will be hard to represent correctly, they're nothing but grey.

Reavers it is!

T.L.A. spacers are roughly humanoid (mostly human, some humanoid aliens) with bulky, NASA-esque spacesuits. Their commander figure is a human, wearing a spacesuit with an open visor. Marines have armor plates on their spacesuits and carry flechette carbines (which look about the same as stormtrooper weapons from Star Wars)

ALSO: Rocket exhaust is blue-white.

Thank you, TBD.

I'll probably do a mini-webcomic series to go along with this, that follows each fleet's progress in the battle.

I may or may not, though, school is about to start back up.

Sure, why not.

The Kan'athaan Syndication
In the early 2300s, Kan'athaan, a battered and under supplied colony of Earth, became the sight of first contact with a race called the Ujans. These Ujans were quick to supply aid to the poverty stricken world, and the Ujans soon became integrated into Kan'athaan society. Unfortunately, human nature got the best of the fledgling alliance, and the Terran military forces exiled the Kan'athaanians, as well as the Ujans. after the exile, the Kan'athaan Syndication was formed to take back their homeland, and punish those who had ripped it away from them.

Wow. So they are only humans and humanoids?

Unexpected.

LtObvious, I'll need a commanding officer sort of person and descriptions of clothing and such (like TBD did), if you would please.

Ok, lets see now.

Humanoid race, similliar to humans, called the Nevanians. Arrived through some sort of spacial anomaly which stranded them in this universe. They managed to re-develop their culture and have started to explore space again. Their Homeworld is called Nevania II and their leader is Emperor Reido Nanatsu. They are slightly xenophobic and often respond badly to threats.

The notable Captain Helion Darracka often leads the Nevanian forces to victory in his starship the N.S.F. Marathon.

Their navy personell wear black shirts and pants with colored shoulders to determin rank.

Their soldiers carry visored helmets, combat armor and boots.
Armed with various beam or solid slug weapons, depending on the opposition.

They all have their race's insignia on their shoulders.

Their ship designs are similliar to thoose of some of the federations ships from star-trek, but bulkier.

Oh, right. I forgot to put in a commander. Here goes nothing.

Colonel Michael Wolfe
Human, Brown hair, carries a Colt .38 passed down in his family for over four hundred years, no helmet, armor is light gray with yellow stripes on the shoulders, and uniform is dark gray.
