The shop keeper put on the odd gold bird hat he found lieing around. He thought about going to the water barrel at the side of the bar that the town horse drinks out of and rolling it...

Get him to empty the oil can onto the ground under the skeleton! Then he'll be able to get away while it tries to get up.
