Dwellers

Image

The Dwellers wouldn't give up: they decided to try and take out the bullbeast in a combined effort.

Image

The hurbeast didn't make it. The healer's attack clattered harmlessly against the giant pickaxe but the axe was enough to deal the beast its first wound.

Undead Vanguard

Image

The sniper took out one of the cannon people.

Image

"Darn yer eyes! Thawas my kill!"

Image

Another shade darted off towards the necromancess' position.

Image

The last one charged Skaie at breakneck speed.

Image

The shiny blade struck into Skaie's strange shield, which hummed softly and brightened as it absorbed the damage.

Image

The fight was ended as fast as it had started: Skaie's counterattack cut the shade in half.

Knights of Kerrat

Image

Garth: "You were foolish to discard your guards so quickly!"

Image

This was how close Garth's charge got to interrupting the necromancer's summoning.

Image

Having used his action on the sprint, Garth couldn't make a direct assault. The two of them then prepared to duel. Skaie then rushed in as well, but his wasn't a charge weapon.

Image

Master Phineus stands alone!

Image

She had to roll a crit to succeed this one... and she did.

Image

Skaie stopped dead in his tracks and prepared to defend against whatever would appear from the shadows as they jumped up in front of him.

Image

She would have preferred to attack from behind but that would've meant she would have had to leave the way to Phineus open so she didn't.

Necromancess: "Fools! You do not know what you are interrupting with here!"

Phineus: "Stay calm. The dead have been stirred. There's nothing these mortals can do about it now."

(reinforcements will arrive, but later)

Bulls

Image

The Bullbeast, with nowhere else to go, decided to stand its ground. It wrecked the axeman with a mighty swing from the pickaxe.

Image

The remaining Bulls then fell back on both flanks.

Image

Image

Crossbow fire covered their retreat: the sergeant was cut down by a series of succesful hits.

Image

The general died the most disgraceful death imagenable fur a Bull warrior: weaponless and with his back to the enemy as we was falling back. The icons then called out to their master, lending him their power.

Image

The remnants of Cales' Imperial forces braced themselves, for they knew what was to come.

Image

The Great Bull's eyes lighted up red, filled with bloodlust.

Image

It charged and caught the standard bearer and his horse on one of his massive arms.

Image

It was a difficult shot, so you're getting it twice.

Image

The horse died and absorbed very little of the damage, so the standard bearer was damaged also by plow through damage, but he survived the fall. He ended up disrupted though.

Image

A wave of arrows from the second group of Bulls caught the charging furbeast.

Yes, yes, yes! My plan is complete!

BTW: How come I only had like 3 shadows do something that round?

You only had 4 to begin with, and one died last round to a spear being thrown. The remaining undead attacked Fat Olaf but narrowly failed to harm him.

Imperials

Image

"We need air support NOW!"

...

"No! Of course I don't know what that means!"

Image

A flyer with mages aboard entered the battle.

Image

The elder had to keep the thing flying while the red mages fired spells on those below.

Image

And they had to mind not to crash as well. (The feat narrowly failed with 5 to 6)

Image

"Oh dear. This really doesn't seem to be my day... Now, if you'll excuse me," Cales said as he cast his phone off to the side and picked up a halberd.

Image

The divine being was careless enough not to take defensive action against the little man attacking it, but Cales actually managed to hurt it.

Image

And was then sent flying by the counter. His armour took the force of the blow and the fall well, though.

Image

"That hurt..." (disrupted)

Image

The Bodyguards charged maniacally, as they thought their marshal had just been killed.

Image

And cut a bloody chunk from the Great Bull's leg with their combined assault. The deity roared out his frustration: if his followers were too weak to protect him, they weren't worthy of his presence, and he would take his leave.

Image

But for now, the Great Bull would settle for smacking around the little humans a bit more. With his lesser arm he killed one bodyguard, who took the force of the blow, killing her, and sent the other flying (she took no damage).

Image

Disrupted, but alive.

Image

Not so alive.

Image

Sharlena and the last gunner fired the cannon point blank at the swordsman standing in front of it. However at this range there was no time to turn the cannon so it could tear through them both.

Image

An automatic hit from a cannon from this range is a bit much for a fig to absorb.

Are the mages from the flyer dead?

Cool flyer. Too bad it crashed so soon.

Yes, unfortunately. But a healer and a mage are still in play...

Water Demons

Image

Red: "Raa! Ye shot ma brothr!"

Blue: "No wait. I 'ave a better idear!"

They grabbed the vacant cannon.

Image

And shot the biggest target they could find. The Great Bull roared and collapsed, the water splashing around him as he fell.

Image

It takes a hell of a damage roll to send even a lesser a god back to the netherworld.

Image

However, he was of course not killed permanently, his temporary corporeal form was simply destroyed along with some of his power. Shadows consumed the body and it dissappeared without a trace.

Image

Red: "Done with the pleasantries. Let's get on with the brawling."

Image

Fat Olaf dropped his shield and prepared to do a sword dance. This meant he would circle around to attack all of the surrounding enemies at once. The consequence if he failed would be that he would be left defenceless.

Image

He succeeded in cutting down two, but his blade finally stranded on the zombie phalanx's oversized but useful shield.

Image

The officer saw where the most high-powered combat was going on and knew his place was there, so he armed himself accordingly.

Image

But he grabbed his crossbow first to shoot down the lieutenant lagging behind.

"You're in the way!"

Image

Crit fail: the bowstring snapped.
