Alright, it's a new forum battle! Woo-hoo!

Captions are below pics. Apologies in advance if the pics are too large (if it's really bad, post something and if enough people complain I will most likely take the time to re-size them).

So without further ado, here is the small amount of backstory I developed and the three main factions.

In late G.R. 2010, the Rann'd'umm Galactic Forces (RGF) have begun expanding their territories. This will be a slow process, but it's time we made ourselves known. These are our main policies:

1. Peaches are not tolerated. All citizens and soldiers of the RGF must shoot them on sight. The only exceptions are for government-authorized interrogations.
2. Drugs are not allowed, except for authorized medical prescriptions. However, alcohol is, and you may drink it whenever you like. The only exception is Maniac Beer, which must be delivered to a government official immediately. If you are found drinking Maniac Beer without authorization, you will be executed without trial.
3. The RGF sides with the Immortals. Any proven treachery will also lead to execution without trial.

And now, the battle backstory.

Image

The RGF have intercepted a drug transferal between peaches and yellows. Seeing as how this violates two of our three major policies, we have decided not to immediately execute the peaches. Obviously, this is a large operation, and we need information about it.

On the left are the drugs, and on the right are the prisoners' weapons.

We are currently holding the peaches in a small outpost 3 miles south of our capital city, Kiela. The outpost is codenamed ARK.

Image

As you can see, the commanding officer (Lancer Robin) is waiting for authorization to interrogate these peaches. Also, a trooper is taking a break and enjoying a beer.

Robin is the RGF's hero.

(Note: Holy crap, my dog sheds like crazy. Dog fur will most likely appear in several places)

Image

These two are guarding the peaches (and seemingly having a small argument).

Image

Here are the three peach prisoners, awaiting death or torture.

(Note: Now this was a hard picture to take. I ended up having to put two legs of the tripod on the elevated baseplate, while not smashing anything. AND, there's more dog fur. Dangit!)

Image

The outpost is fairly well protected. Shown here is a Xavi-2P AI turret.

(Note: See the next pic for what that blurry thing in the bottom right is.)

Image

Here are the ruins of a town square, and Pierre the sniper. On the left is an ancient statue, which is not going to come alive and be a secret faction. It's just a statue.

Image

A better look at Pierre. He was in my HH submission, Assault of Namelessia (link)

Image

And this is the right half of the battlefield. Note the hollow blue thing (hint hint) and that storage container (hint hint).

Image

The full battlefield. Note the red-marked auto-turret, that's controlled by the RGF and can be aimed at any target within range. Also note the blue-marked chemical pipe (hint hint).

Image

*Insert swoosh effect here*

Image

Looks like somebody has Farce powers...

Image

Ouch.

Image

THUNK

Image

"Sending in escape route."

Image

"Please take stairs carefully."

Image

They dash up the stairs as quickly as possible, heading for their weapons.

The Snake Plisskin look-alike (hereby referred to as Slake Diskin), despite being stunned and disrupted, still manages to warn the rest of the base.

The alarm is sounded!

Image

The peaches get their weapons as the RGF base get theirs. It's a classic Mexican standoff!

Image

"There's no way we can win this. Teleport us out of here."

"Right away."

Image

They 'port away...

Image

and appear over here.

"Sorry, but they've got a dampening field. You can teleport or go in, but not out. Sending reinforcements. As long as you're there, try to recover the drugs."

"*sighs* Fine. Send them in."

(Note: This is my lame excuse for why the peaches don't just leave. They have to get the codes from Robin's communicator to get out of here)

Image

A cycle with two troopers drives in.

Image

Dark Vayderr jumps in.

Image

As does Jetpacky. That thing he's holding is a beamsaber tonfa, medium CC weapon.

Image

The entire group.

Dark Vayderr is the Peaches' hero.

Image

Suddenly, a Temporal Flux portal appears!

Image

Out march a group of Haunted Heads.

(Note: It took me forever to pose them like that, so they wouldn't just fall on that slope. I hope you guys appreciate it.)

Image

They eerily raise their arms and march towards the RGF.

The peaches are moderately unnerved, and tighten their grip on their weapons.

Image

Their Necromantic Leader appears through the portal as well. He is radiating shadow magiks so powerful they are visible. (-2 on all CC skill rolls against him)

He's obviously the hero.

Image

He quickly talks with the peaches, saying that they are after the yellows (and something about how peach flesh doesn't taste as good).

Dark Vayderr is slightly insulted, but agrees to the truce.

FACTIONS:

The Rann'd'umm Galactic Forces: Available
Objective: Kill all enemy factions, survive.

The Peaches: Theblackdog

Secret faction objectives will be PM'd to whoever claims them.

If you have a reservation, post whether or not you want it.

If you want one of the main factions, post here AND send me orders.

If you want one of the secret factions, post here and I'll PM you objectives and when to send orders.

Initiative is decided by whoever sends in orders first. The game will start once the three main factions and at least two secret factions are claimed.

I'll take the peaches. This sounds fun.

Not bad write up Yodadog, I like the battlefield too. Snake Pliskin should have some special powers of badassery.

I'll gladly accept SF5 if you still want.

Pick those factions, people! I'd like to get started on Turn 1 by this Saturday.

On a side note, Warhead: Slake Diskin, who is not Snake Plisskin, is a regular trooper. However, if he is the Last Man Standing, he may receive an Almighty Benny and get promoted/improved.

Updated/BUMP.

I've removed the reservations, seeing as how they've been given enough time.

The Rann'd'umm Galactic Forces and Secret Faction 3 are now up for grabs!

C'mon, someone take the RGF! They're the most powerful of all the main factions!

Secret faction 3. I don't want the responsibility of powerful forces on my hands.
