Power of Destruction Turn 3

Damage rolls were insane.

Image

Suddenly, a glowing light appears on one of the pine trees...

Image

And with a mistleburst arrives Manly Fucking Santa, ready with his list to determine whose naughty or nice (I rolled a die for each hero: 2,4,6 resulted in being naughty and get whacked by MFS's flail, receiving 2d6 damage, 1,3,5 resulted in the gift of Maniac Eggnog).

Image

'Hm, Fink was a naughty boy.'

Image

*BOP* (-1hp)

Image

'My my, you weren't really nice this year'

Image

Luckily the thick armor prevented any serious wounds.

Image

'Oh my, another nasty little ork'

Image

Once again, poor damage rolls made no harm at all.

Image

'You were quite nice, Apollyon, here's a Maniac 'Nog.'
'Why thank you.'

Image

'Oh, another nice little boy!'

Image

'Here, take this.'

'Thanks MFS!'

Image

Thus the merrymaker left the field.

Apollyon

Image

Cavalry attacked, but only managed to kill the champiork.

Image

The dwarves went for Beaky and with a monstrous roll, they busted off a chunk of his 4 hp.

Image

Crossbowmen slew 3 spearboyz.

Image

Swordsmen attacked the grave guard but failed to do harm.

Image

Apollyon pulled himself together, but his feat roll failed.

Image

So did the Storm Titans'.

Fink

Image

Immortals do it from behind! The rear assault chipped 1 hp off from drummertroll.

Image

Rot Walker killed another ork, while Corpse Grinder approached the arrowboys with malicious intents in mind.

Image

Skeletons ganged on the Warboss...

Image

... but due to a succesful redshirting, the bannerboy got torn apart instead.

Warboss

Image

Arrowboys fired a hail of bolts, dealing another damage to Rot Walker.

Image

The warboss hopped on corpse grinder...

Image

... and started to beat his head with the blunt end of the axes, somehow managing to control the monstrosity this way.

Image

He managed to obliterate the rest of the ax skeletons.

Image

Then CG got bored and threw him off. I love fun feats like this!

Image

Orkboys chose the chivalrious 2-on-1 method of attack, and killed 2 knights.

Shaman

The shaman sneaked away with the artefact; cannontroll blasted the crossbowmen, killing 4.

Image

The rest was hacked apart by spearboyz.

Image

Beaky retaliated with a pillar of fire to the dwarves, scorching four; dwarves get 4 grudge points. Wartroll tried to flatten a necrolyte but failed and I didn't find it worthy for a shot.

Fabio

Image

Peasants moved in but failed to get in contact with the infernus, but the swordsmen dealt enough damage to bust off 1 hp.

Image

Which was followed by the warmachine's fire, dealing another point of damage, and knocking him over.

Image

The spearmen and Fabio killed 4 grave guard.

Ghoul's remnants

Image

Ranged units overkilled the shaman.

Image

'I was so... close...'

Image

Infernus stood up but failed to attack.

Image

Meanwhile the necrolyte had a critical success and revived 2 grave guard, who then killed 3 spearmen.

Meanwhile, in the Abyss...

Image

'You were a nice evil overlord this year, Warhead, have a maniac eggnog!'

'Thanks MFS!'

Image

'So were you, Heltar, but I know nog gives you diarrhea, so here, have some Helliday Spirits instead.'

Warhead

Image

Terrorguard ganged on Nega-Drakes, dealing 1-1 damage to each.

Image

The ghosts gathered to guard Warhead who gave a speech:
'Mighty Angels of Death! Why fight by the side of a lesser evil? Join me, and I'll give you conquest and slaughter!'

Image

One of them was persuaded and to show his loyalty, he skewered a Nega-Drake.

Heltar

Image

'Nobody defies ME!' Yelled Heltar and unleashed a burst of dark energy, killing the treacherous AoD and 2 Terrorguard.

'Ain't it ironic that you have to kill even your own troops, Heltar?'

'You made a mistake by coming here, Warhead.'

Image

Heltar and his minions attacked but poor rolls were poor.

So that was turn 3, here are overviews:

:D That was great, MFS cameo was amazing.

 Man, I gotta get back and punish the ever unliving shit out of those two idiots Ghoul and Fink. Who puts a dumb grunt Maniac in charge of an army, seriously. Deadlock, what were you thinking?!.

What'd I tell you about claiming the artefact first! My Warboss is doing well though, pity he couldn't stay on Corpse Grinder longer... He's doing what he's best at though killin' things.

Then kill them. Then revive them. Then kill them again.

Intriguing.

Aim the necrolytes first, I hate those fuckers. Besides then there won't be any more raising dead.

Also, burn them. Burn them all.

Ha, yeah well I like to think if I'd been in charge I could have given you more to gripe about than crow about. I have such beautiful plans for my next battle but I'm sick of sharing command. I'm a Tyrant dammit!

What is the problem that people have with the whole regenerative Immortal concept that sees me endlessly having to explain that the Immortals can't be destroyed and killing them may stop them for a while but only for a time. Even destroying them to the smallest level will still see them return... read the Wiki people. It's not so much a power trip as a device to allow the characters to keep cropping up in battles. Immortals can be beat, even for millennia, but they just keep coming.

@Zahru: Exactly right! Oooh, just thought of something! CENSORED!!! ... I like my thoughts

EDIT: Thought 2: CENSORED!!! Man, sometimes this stuff just writes itself!!!

Get out of my head, you're spoiling EVERYTHING!

My beautiful plans!

Some orders would be REALLY handy from Keldoclock.

Maybe like, ASAP. I understand it's yuletide n sorts but everyone managed give swift orders, which was slightly unexpected (kudos for that).

Who are the orders for? I'd be more than happy to fill in.
