The tide turns... (one way or another...) I'm sure it has turned, just not sure which way... (or then again maybe it hasn't...)

Trollz: solvess
Image
The Orge reachs Urack's corpse and looks at his stuff. However its clearly not going to fit him...
Image
...but I rolled anyway and the Orge is now a Hero!
Image
Not wasting any time, he takes a flying leap...
Image
Squishing 3 Dwarves and scatering the rest.
Image
Dazed they reform, back a bit.

Red Lions: Bragallot
Image
Karl pulls his mech up and lets rip his Gattling gun, however he rolled aone for barrels and did no damage.
Image
Unerved he pulls out one of his fake women!
Image
He throws it to Mr Munchy, who leans towards it...
Image
"Neh!" (Karls feat succeded but Mr Munch made a sucessful roll of 6 to resist the temptation)
Image
The Titan gets up, knocking Carados off his back...
Image
Successfully he turns and kicks him...
Image
Into many parts, he's very dead now.
Image
The Titan takes a break to drink his magical Titan ale. (+1 HP)
Image
Francais swaps squad, while the Clerics try and fail to rasie some men.
Image
The Fire Catapluts close in on the Witch...
Image
Lucky for her, the Fireballs missed by inchs. (Lego ones)
Image
The Dwarves attacked the Orge...
Image
...killing it off. The campion died in the counter.

solvess eliminated

Image
Francais, with the swordsmen and Padalins attacked Warhead.
Image
Thanks to last turn's spell Warhead got 4 redshirts and surrvied on harmed.
(Counters went badly...)

Pembridge: Zahru
Image
The sailers and Guardsmen regrouped while Stompy took on the Campion. he also gave then encouragement, "Go on Boyz, finish him!"
Image
However he failed to kill the Campion.
Image
The Rangers pulled back to fire...
Image
Pity Deathstaker was in the way, so he absored most of the damage, still one skelie died.
Image
"Geronimo" The Mech leaps onto Zelzeikaza...
"3" "2" "1"... wait what's that...
*Ka-Boom*
Image
It exploded in his face, he lost no HP but he's down to two legs and two arms.
Image
The rest of Pembridge finished surounding Warhead.
Image
He lost an HP and killed one Guardsman, in counter.

Dark Elves: GeneralOfDeath
Image
The Healer crit sucessed and raised two Elves. Fabian tried too, but failed.
Image
They hurried over to the Pembirdge squad...
Image
...killing the Mage and a sailer.

Undead: Warhead
Image
Malak raised some Daemons, while the medik raised a shade mage. (Who failed his res attempt)
Image
The Daemons then moved on to shoot Karl and though I seem to forgoten to take a pic, Karl lost an HP and some shots trashed his controls, badly. (-1SP)
Image
Mr Munchy contiues his stratagy...
Image
"AHHHHHHHH!" The Titan fell on the Mech (again), and it's already smashed circuits exploded further... (Karl bailed with his rifle)
Image
The Mech was smashed to pieces. Titan's fine.
Image
Karl just made it out of the wreckage, his rocket is right beside him.
Image
The Titan is pissed.
Image
Warhead, surrounded by his foes, casts a strange spell. "I comand you rise and fight again, this battle is not done!"
Image
"AHHHHH!!!!" Death spills from Warhead... (He wasn't aiming for this but I rolled like 5 doubles for his feat so only half of it succeded)
Image
The dwarves rolled badly and all died. (This always seams to happen following a mass death spell... )
Image
The Titan lost an HP.
Image
As did Francais, while 3 of his squad died.
Image
Unfortunatly, it affects all life forces, which proved bad for the Elves, all but Fabian died, as did a Guardsman.
Image
A knight lost an HP while two Minor Daemons fell.
Image
2 Rangers died as did the cataplut drivers.
Image
Zelzeikaza and Deathstaker both lost an HP. (The Skelies and Shades have no life force and surrvied, everyone else made surrvied too)
Image
Taking his foes distraction Warhead rides away and encounters Von Bragstien...
Image
The Witch zips back into the fray casting a sleep spell on the Clerics. (They're not dead but asleep until the end of next turn/somebody wakes them)
Image
DeathStalker and the Skelies reach the rangers...
Image
...and massacure them. (Stompy's out of engadement while the Un-holy campion got picked up by the squad)
Image
Zelzeikaza hurled himself at the Titan, who lost an HP.
Accidently Backstabed: GeneralOfDeath
Accidental Backstaber: Warhead
Clothes problems: solvess

Jeez, do we have to kill every unit we put down 3 times now? This round couldn't have gone much more wrong.

Just as I was getting my troops back together, too...

Isn't there any counterspells you can think of? Life Magic based or whatnot.

Sorry, Gen'O'Death

I thought of killing your shades before starting the fighting to avoid it 'cos with 2 clerics (3 if I cooperated with Zahru) that wouldn't have worked, unfortunately there was the medic, the rigged dark elf priest, Warhead, Malak, now again a shade who's prolly gonna raise his buddy... I'm not sure whether I'm missing someone.

The idea was to start healing now to at least keep up the difference, but you killed like 30 guys in one round.

And if they fail... I'm screwed.

Yeah, the medic for the Undead is a bit overkill so I stayed away from BIG Warhead induced Raise Dead Feats/Spells because of it. The Death Call Spell was sheer panic, who knew it would go so well. I'm as surprised as you guys, and relieved.

Since doing my own army of the damned I've been brushing up on the Death Spells, so there may be more variation in future.

Preferrably one that dosen't kill your allies...

Hey, I took some hits there too you know. It was a calculated risk, which despite your demise paid off. That's the trick with Death Spells, most of the offensive spells harm the living, without regard for alliances.

Yeah, that's usally what happens following a death spell, the dwarves die and half the Undead allies get killed.
Oh yah, are you all hinting I put too many rasie dead units in the Undead force?

The living shouldn't side with the undead; it's their own fault for not knowing better.

I can read my orders from here!

A combination of that and it being overused, really. Since this round I admit I've started too because you kinda get forced after a while.

But it does seem to work, and it's not 'against the rules' so...

Still, I have a plan. Since too much regulation and stuff is kinda unbrikwarsy (apart from some vague element restriction) and I like to leave spells up to creativity I'm likely just gonna say each spell has a cooldown of 1 turn in my next battle. Experimental system, though we'll see how it works.

It's not your fault F!SH. More mine I doth think, from previous games. I really thought I'd made a fair change to my spell uses this game. At least until Death Call anyway. I'm looking into spells, particularly some of the raise spells and what we can do about it because something needs sorting (a new Undead player?). Of course this serious study has taken the form of Heroes II and IV, Warlords Dark Lords Rising and the Vampire Counts Warhammer Codex. My studies are going well, I'm almost a level 20 Death Knight in Heroes! :D

Oh my, heroes... I remember when I butchered dragons with troglodytes... good ol' days.
