Power Up North Turn 4

Hell, 'about time...

Fabio and Blaze (Silverdream)

Image

Blaze secures the artefact, while Fabio does a speech: 'If this annoying little bugger could kill a titan, hacking up some orks won't be a challenge for us!'

Image

The encouraged infantry kills 3 berserkers and 2 black orks.

Warlock and Hemotaros (Paco)

Image

The Warlock conjured a spell to heaten up the snow beneath the halberdiers bit goes a little overkill and summons a pillar of fire, which kills 3. 'Meh, this is just as good.'

Image

The black orks execute the squad while the berserkers fail to do anything mentionable.

Image

Hemotaros uses his yoinked steed to run for the marker. I hope he's trying to reach the summit, not aiding Warheads objective because:
and by that I do not mean 'lol one of my skeletons sprinted there I won'
Arthel Wolfsbane (Rev Sylvanus)

Image

Hilarity ensues as the cavalry once again takes a turn...

Image

... and even though they're headed to back up the worker squad, they ran into Hemotaros again! This naturally calls for an attack of opportunity.

Image

The demon is knocked afar but survives due to good armor rolls.

Image

Crossbowmen angry inch themselves out from cc and fire at the orkboyz. They try to block the bolts, but 2 of them and their champiork dies.

Image

Swordsmen manage to scratch the AoD, beating him down to 1hp.

Image

The rest slowly backs a little, the cleric successfully casts a pillar of light, blinding the glommox (no firing this turn and random movement). Arthel along with Fang, vanishes in the snowfall...

Von Bragstein (Bragallot)

Image

Rocketeers dig out their master, throwing the mauler quite away.

Image

To make themselves useful still, they gun down one ork.

Image

Von B ignites his jets and fly towards the corruptors, unleashing a stream of fire on the front.

Image

They all burn into crisps; their steeds manage to take the heat, though (do-ho-ho what a pun).

Image

Siege machines move backwards and reload; an engineer mans the Trogdor.

Image

The warmachine fires at the Infernus, who seems to lose his head in the heat of the battle.

Warhead

Image

The orkboyz go forth and kill two crossbowmen.

Image

The glommox move but in totally random-rolled directions, one of them straight onto the previously-laid mine, losing 1 sp.

Image

The rocket rack reactionfired at this glommox but only missed an inch.

Image

The Grave Guard moves up, while Warhead casts the wing of netherworld on the axe skeletons giving them a whopping 9 extra inches.

Image

The axe-skellies go forth and are greeted by the trogdors flame spew (burninating 3) and an unexpected barrage of thrown tools by the workers, although only one of these actually hit, but it hits and kills the officer!

Image

The rest reaches the ribault, but miserably fails at damaging it.

Image

The AoD cleaves 2 more swordmen the takes flight, while the mace skeletons lock the officer in close combat but fail to do harm.

Image

The other AoD plays 'whack-a-brag'.

Image

He bashes the flight engines of the suit, and without propulsion, the ironclad Karl falls like a stone and gets a little dizzy inside. Like flipping a turtle on its back.

Image

The corruptors put the incapacitated hero on their steed in a position least harmful for them and move him behind cover. 'Do anything funny, and he's dead!' Threatens Warhead the Imperials.

*dramatic music*

That was funny.
Poor Bragstein though, his armour really seams to let him down...

It may not be able to move anymore, but that doesn't mean it no longer protects him. Think about it 8)

Great playin' Rev!

Um, chosen weapon the En-toxinator of those Cultists ignores armour.

From Zahru's Medivo Encyclopaedia where it is wrote:Corruptor Cavalry

Image

My take on mounted archers.

Corruptor

1d6 skill
5 inch movement
4 armor

Cult-leader

1d6+1 skill
5 inch movement
1d10 armor

Armed with toxo-cannons (use rate 3, 1d6+2 damage, 6 inch range, ignores armor, but doesn't affect mechanical).
That's most definitely armour von Bragstien is wearing, so... Check Mate!..
Lord Warhead wrote:"...ENOUGH! Cease fighting and give us the artifact and you can have your hero back, alive. Your move."
@Zahru: ORDERS: Whatever happens von Bragstien dies if they don't comply, either by the Cultists of the AoD's hands. Or my own.

Heroes have what, 3 HP? Like hell I'm going to die in one turn, even Hemotaros is still breathing after all he's gone through 8)

Yeah, games wise, but your facing how many attacks?..

I'm not too scared of the cultists' aim, besides they look a bit pale after I fried half of them :)

Umm, I might have to rewrite that part to be a bit more specific... when I gave the corruptors 'ignores armor' spec rule, I meant the ADDITIONAL armor pieces a minifig wears (eg.: cavalry armor), not the base armor stat. So yes, the iron brags armor is not helpful at all against toxo-streams, but von Brag still has his natural 2d6 hide to defend himself... otherwise insta-kill toxo-guns would be epic gamebreakers.

Just to clarify things up, I guess you knew that already, but now you definitely do.

But the guys helpless and can't protect himself. No matter how tough he is he's staring death in the face, he's not like a structural building or anything. Well, ok then, you force my hand and I really don't want to do this but...

I take it that the answer is no. Very well.

@Zahru: You have my orders, make sure everyone attempts them.

[irrelevant babble] Your point is actually valid, I just made stuff clear. Don't go all b'awww, Warhead. It'll all be determined with my die. [/irrelevant babble]

Eh?.. He gave his answer so there is no further grounds for discussion or negotiation. If he wants it, give it to him.

Oh, I misunderstood. Ignore my post above, I thought the whole 'forcing my hand' schtick was intended for me.

Sorry, my mind is weary, and it's quite late.

All things considered would Blaze and Fabio not have any idea of Bragstien's problems? I mean they are at the top of a Mountain and Warheads at the bottum. So surely giving Warhead the arifacts a bit difficult... besides Blaze has it, he'll not give it up without a fight.
What'd you mean, I'm giving a good impression that I think Blaze is awsome?

That can be sorted out in the dialog after the action. A runner perhaps, mere details surely. And the whole point of the Objective marker is it represents the only way up or down the mountain. And I'm going no where.

Fair piont, I completly understand what your trying to do, and it's an interesting idea... :o
Though I still think Blaze is awesome...
