The Fords of Gelron (Round 2)

Round 2
Lara's force
They advanced. Lara cast off the plants, then fired her staff at the Heavy, who barely managed to block it. Crossbowmen fired at Weasle, who barely managed to avoid damage as well.
Spearmen charged the crossbowmen and built up momentum, yet didn't reach them.
Waterdemons
Fishstache charged Skaie, who surprised him by acting first, but his attack ended up on the Waterdemon's shield.
His counter missed.
His regular attack did not (Skaie -1 HP).
The Eagle managed to make contact with his blade, but the armour gifted to him by the King himself protected Fishstache well.
The entire infantry beared down on the halberdiers... meaning they were outnumbered, against Water Demons, no less. Thats right. Uh-oh.
All were annihilated save one. Counters slew two of the less heavily armoured crossbowmen.
Blackpants lead his halberdiers against Fabian, but a knight raced to his commander's aid (he gets automatic redshirts because he's of royalty). He even managed to survive the battalions (poor) attack.
Two of the disrupted knights were easily murdered by the chosen warriors. One held on thanks to his armour. Fat Olaf ran and hacked down the rider's horse.
His call attracted a friendly (more or less) Swamp Lurker.
Karlus of Gelron - Rev. Sylvanus
Karlus hacked at Fabian, but caught the knight, who made a brave (foolish?) leap instead.
His attempt to summon a swarm of monkeys failed and subsequently a (very) random owlish creature was brought onto the field to help Lara's force.
Fabian - Robotmonkey
"Blessed ancestors... Help me!"
The ancestors replied by helping two knights and their mounts to escape from the swamp. They were ready to fight again.
They charged the Heavy, narrowly killing him.
Fabian himself charged down one of the regular phalanx.
"Here, take these poisoned bolts, they'll make a nice present for our Kerratian friends he he he..." (increased damage for the crossbowmen)
They fired, and if a knight and his horse hadn't taken the damage, Fabian would surely have died.
"Boo."
Weasle managed to surprise and stab a knight, but his weapon proved almost obsolete against the heavy armour.
The remaining Phalanx attacked Fabian, but he resisted the attack and managed to stick his blade in the Bull's gut.
Skaie
Crossbowmen massed fire on the heavy swordsmen, taking out three of them.
Skaie stabbed Fishstache again, but the old Water Demon proved tough once more.
He managed to block the counter.
In the background the last halberdier had already fallen trying to fight back against the overwhelming numbers. Skaie, realizing the danger his men were in, inspired them to set up a response action against the inevitable charge.
