In the near future, near Prussian space...
Captain Roberto: Ugh...
Roberto: What happened... Massive headache...
Roberto: That's better, but my eyes... It's so bright here...
Roberto: Wait a minute, where...
Roberto: ... Where am I?
Guardian: You have crashed upon the infinite expanse of time.
Roberto: Whoah, who the hell are you?
Guardian: I am the Guardian, I am a gate-keeper if you will. You have ended up here before me because it was decided that this isn't your time to go. You have more to do before you are allowed to die.
Roberto: Wait, what? -- *Roberto remembers the events on the Lady Vega*
Roberto: Am I dead?
Guardian: Yes, but not for long. You have more to do. You will be returned to a different area of space before your battle with the Mastercutor. I am sending you back to intervene in a battle on the edge of Assyrian space.
Roberto: I have heard of them, but do I have to do anything in particular? How do I go back there?
Guardian: Stand on the platform behind you. It will send you where you need to go.
Roberto: What about my ship and crew? Do I have to do anything specific?
Guardian: Your ship will be repaired and improved upon. Your crew have also already come before me, and are being sent back to you. You don't have any objectives, just go about doing what you would be doing had you ended up there naturally.
Roberto: Anything else I should know?
Guardian: Not really, things will be evident when you arrive. An Akkadian fleet is attacking the Assyrian Battle Station, go help them out and see the new power of your ship. Farewell.

Crewman: Commander, all units are engaging the enemy fleet. The Nefrace has also joined the battle, but we are picking up a strange energy reading at heading 1 -9 0.
Commander Armitage: On Screen!
A rift appears in space...
And a ship begins to emerge.
The Lady Vega II materializes from the rift.
Roberto: Open a comm channel to the Assyrians. Let's let them know that we have arrived.
Officer: Yes sir!
Roberto: Hello everyone, it is time for you to die. I am Captain Roberto of the Space Inquistadores. I have been sent back to destroy you.
Armitage: This party keeps getting better. Get back to work on that Communications Array, we need reinforcements fast!!
Crewman: Yes Sir.
Roberto: All right, time for some fun. Let's see what this ship can do.
The Lady Vega II opens up on the nearest Assyrian Mercury Light Torpedo Frigate. The Heavy Lasers easily neutralized the shields and tore it in half.
It then fired a missile at the Battle Station.
Another shot takes out one of the torpedoes that was approaching the Akkadians.
The final shot was aimed at a Gunboat but it got deflected by the shields of the Gunboat.
Then the Assyrian Battle Station moved a bit away from the Akkadian fleet, and it response-fired at the missile and took it out.
The Nefrace continued towards the Battle Station, and fired another shot at the Akkadian Attack Frigate.
The hit was a direct one. The Attack Frigate suffered horrendous damage.
The main gun was destroyed and it lost all but 1 point of health. The engines and bridge are still fine.
Everything else engaged the Akkadian fleet. A second fighter was destroyed. The Light Frigate that got attacked deflected the shot with its shields.
Then the Mercuries fired more torpedoes.
The Nefrace and the Battle Station joined in by respectively firing a bomb and another torpedo.
All remaining Akkadian fighters, the Light Carrier, and the Bombers raced towards Nefrace. The fighters opened fire in unison, but the shields barely held. (Nefrace has 3 shield points, the fighters took out two of them.) One Bomber botched its shot (rolled a 1) but the other one fired successfully. However the bomb was destroyed by response fire from the Nefrace.
Then the Light Carrier moved in. It knocked out Nefrace's shields for good, but didn't do enough damage to overcome the Light Destroyer's armour.
Back by the Tirpitz the Akkadian Light Frigates sped forwards, successfully destroying two of the torpedoes that were launched at the Tirpitz.
With the way paved for its advance the Tirpitz showed why it is called a Destroyer. Another Gunboat had its shields knocked out and a second Mercury was annihilated.
Gunners on the Tirpitz were unable to shoot down that last torpedo, meaning that the Destroyer ran into the torpedo. However, its powerful shields deflected the blast.
The last Mercury response-fired upon another Akkadian Light Frigate, but this shot was also stopped by shields.
That is the end of Turn 2. Send Orders for Turn 3!!
