The waterbinder cast a spell... what was he going to do in a desert?

Image

Oh I see. The ground below the catapult became all muddy, making it nearly impossible to move it. If nothing was done, the catapult would soon sink into the sand.

Image

"Charge!"

Image

As the wave of cavalry drew closer to the bull line, they were presented with a wall of muscle and steel.

Image

But these knights were among the best Kerrat had to offer, and they annihilated the phalanx despite all odds.

Image

The rest of the army advanced and those who could opened fire.

Image

The Bulls defended with their shields, but one went down.

Bull Main

Image

"Show them it takes more than a bunch of steel-plastered jackanapes to frighten the Bulls!"

The army gave an approving roar, waving their weapons in defiance (+1 damage).

Image

The crossbowmen let loose a volley into the ranks of the knights, who defended with their shields and survived unharmed.

Image

"Again!" Voytek commanded urgently.

Image

The second volley took the riders off guard, Voytek's bolt killing one of the Elite Knights.

Image

The remaining siege weapons dealt a whopping 21 damage to the Earth Dragon (-2 SP)

Image

The phalanx finally readjusted slightly, trying to get in line with the elite part of the army.

White Dragon Knights

Image

Part of the army braced for the coming Golden Lions attack.

Image

The swordsmen, backed up by a mage knight, approached the Elite Axemen.

Image

The dragons flew into combat, breathing fire ineffectively.

Image

Their riders then steered them behind the lines however, and the banner carrier went down, while the berserker held off the dragon's claws.

Image

The cavalry charged the heavies, moving to support the Drakhirri.

Image

Two of them and a heavy died, but the heavy's squad was thrown down and disrupted.

Bulls

Image

Buffed by the Icons, the Elites moved forward and killed the remaining lancers.

Image

The heavies, though no longer a squad, protected their flank.

Image

The crossbowmen shot the fleeing horses for the lulz.

Image

Marnix: "Sing! Rejoice! In battle we thrive!" (+1 armour to the Bulls)

"We shall not fail or falter; we shall not weaken or tire!
With no fear in our hearts we march into the dragon's fire!
BULL! BULL! BULL!"

Crimson Knights

Image

They proceeded more cautiously than their allies.

Image

"Noble Bull warriors, why fight us? Isn't a land to settle down in what you always wanted? I can give you all that, and more."

Image

The Bulls seemed to find that amusing. Laughter spread through the ranks.

"If we want your land, we'll take it, tin man."

Image

"So be it. Open fire!"

The mages flung their vicious spells, and one phalanx, unable to block magic with his shield, groaned and hit the ground.

Golden Lions

Image

"Forward! For the King!"

Image

Stanis' managed to bring all his men into attack range, and though they fought hard, the foot soldiers were outclassed by the White Dragon Knights, who parried just enough of the damage to survive (save one) and slew three halberdiers in return.

Image

The Titan then came in with a cleaving attack, but missed barely.
