The breakthrough of the Imperial army was a sound success, mostly due to the intervention of Majisto and Gallikronn. Oddly enough, the two of them were actually looking for Liana Crowclaw's party, who were escorted by Zuleika from Ursa Hold to the Capitol City. Since they hadn't shown up in days, the wizard grew weary and went out to search for them, but failed to locate the group. What could've happened?



Zuleika: Halt! There are people ahead of us.

Cpt. Illustrious: How long are we trekking northwards, Xalen? I'm getting landsick!

Xalen: As long as I must, and as long as I need someone familiar with these lands.

Liana: Even though it's that rat Illustrious, I don't think they mean any harm to us.



Cpt. Illustrious: No, no, no! Not you again!

Xalen: Who are these, Illustrious? Foes of yours, by chance!

Liana: Indeed we are far from being allies, we mean no harm to you at the moment. I am Liana Crowclaw, and these are my allies: Guillaume, Bjarn and Zuleika. Who are you, black knight? I've never seen anyone from the knightly orders to don such armor.

Xalen: The name's Xalen. From where I hail is irrevelant.

Liana: I've managed to hear that you're seeking something, yet you do not know where it is. We're headed to meet a wizard, he might be able to aid you, if you wish to join.

Xalen: I guess it's a better option than relying on a sea urchin...

Cpt. Illustrious: Hey!



The Destroyer: I'd love to listen to you chatting, but I still have a task to complete. How fortunate that you're so nicely clumped up, like lambs before the slaughter.

Gil: Yikes!

Liana: We won't go without a fight, murderer!

The Destroyer: I was hoping you'd say that. Let the killing begin!

The Destroyer: How did you manage to parry me that fast!

Xalen: I'm more than meets the eye, assailant.

Cpt. Illustrious: Let's make a run for it!

Bjarn: I'm not leaving without a fight!



Xalen: The pirate is right, you should move away, I'll quickly take care of this petty assassin.

The Destroyer: Hahaha, nice trick you have there, trying to explode me? Let me help you...



Xalen: What!?

The Destroyer: I 'enhanced' your magic. Now all of us can be consumed by flames! Die, mortals!

Well, Xalen already survived two massive explosions... I know it's overused but awesome is the only word I can use for this Since it says signup at the top, I'm just going to say I'd like to play Xalen, provided he's playable.

Xalen: Where are we? I tried to dampen the blast as much as I've could, still...

Zuleika: It appears that the ground have sundered under us, and we fell into a subterranean cavern of sorts.

Bjarn: Ow... how are the others?

Zuleika: I'm fine, only a couple of bruises. Sadly, both Liana and Gil are still unconscious, I don't know how bad their situation are. Oh, and by the way, we're sharing this cave with those folks.



Blaze: My word, ye guys sure came with a bang! I thought we're done for!

Xalen: Who are you?

Blaze: I'm Blaze Ironbreaker, and these are my dwarves. We're in just as bad situation as you are, lad.

Xalen: Why? Are you lost?

Blaze: No, we're cornered! By our fellow dwarves!



Blaze: I was ordered a couple of days ago by the Thane to investigate a lost mining expedition, as they we hadn't heard anything of them in weeks! Turns out, they've dug up some weird crystal thing that drove all of them mad! When we arrived, they thought we're enemies, and attacked us. We did our best, but they were far too many, and we had to hide ever since. They know these damned caves far better than I do! Thing is, as long as we don't take down their leader, Modru, we won't see the surface world.



Modru the mad: I know yer there, Ironbreaker! Git out with yer men and die like a real dwarf should! Or face the wrath of Modru!

Blaze: Curses, they've found us!

Xalen: That crystal...

Modru the mad: Alright, then FACE THE MIGHT OF MODRU! DIE BY THE CRYSTAL'S WRATH!



Unlucky irongut dwarf: AIIIEE!

Modru the mad: This is not what I've wanted!

Blaze: Great, that brainless dwarf just summoned an ancient rock wyrm!



Blaze: We have no choice but to fight, otherwise these idiots will destroy us all! What do you say lad, will ye help?

Xalen: You have my blade, Blaze Ironbreaker. (And hopefully I'll have that crystal by the end of this) Will you join, pirate?

Cpt. Illustrious: Luckily, I always carry a spare set of arms with me.



Bjarn: Take care of them, Zuleika. We'll fight ourselves to the surface.

Zuleika: Go get 'em, norseman!
