Winter Has Arrived Turn 8

Trattorians

The Trattorian destroyer fires all it’s got at the traitorous Siri Loyalists.

Fate spares them of the EMP Death Cannons, but now the other Siri cruiser has sustained massive damage.

The Trattorian cruiser is mildly disturbed by the proximity of the Akkadian torpedoes and drop pods, destroying one pod and both torpedoes.

I then proceeds to further damage the Siri Loyalists with its starboard turrets.
Praetorians

The Kitten Kong interfaces with the abandoned husk of the Space Oddity and transmits a slave code:

The Space Oddity fires up its engines for the last time and heads for the RIN fleet. (Note to myself, it moved 4 inches this turn)

Meanwhile the Kitten Kong targets the Siri Loyalists with its guns.

And finally finish the job off. All the capital ships of the Siri Loyalists are now destroyed, they only have fighter now.

The destroyers decide to take out their RIN counterparts.

They succeed magnificently.
RIN

The RIN fleet (or what’s left of it LOL) avenges its fallen comrades by firing on the Kitten Kong.

While not anywhere near being taken out, she absorbs quite a bit of damage.

Finally, the RIN defense fleet admiral scolds the Avalonians.

The remaining Akkadian boarding pod contacts the Trattorian cruiser.

The Akkadians jump out and easily catch the Trattorian Star Marines by surprise, massacring them and staining the white hallways with the burgundy of blood.
*NOTE: This is only a promotional picture, I’m not going to actually have LDD Akkadian minifigs blow up shit. I’ll explain what I’ll do below

The Akkadians make progress and capture a part of the ship.
Colette’s Delicious Homebrewed Microspace Boarding Rules:
Every member in the boarding squad is represented by a die. Every defending marine in a given stud is represented by one die. For example, a squad of five marines converts to 5d6.
The squad’s progress is marked by a token (here a purple flower). The boarding squad rolls its dice against those of the marines defending the attacked stud. If the boarding squad exceeds the roll of the defenders it can move into that stud. If it equals the roll of the defenders it stays in its current position. And if the boarding squad’s roll loses to the defenders then it moves “back” a stud (“back” meaning away from the bridge).
Accounting for casualties: For the purposes of simplification, if the boarding squad moves up a stud it is assumed all defenders died. If they tie their rolls then neither side takes casualties (stupid, I know, but I can’t come up with anything better), and if the boarding squad loses, then it takes as many casualties as it lost the dice roll by (so if the boarders rolled a 15 and the defenders rolled an 18 that would mean the boarders lose 3 members).
A fighter starts out with 0 marines (obviously), a frigate starts out with 5 marines, etc. Every class above that gets five more marines than the last one. In theory, these marines can be distributed as the player pleases. A standard boarding pod contains 5 marines.

Anyway, the remaining Akkadian ships concentrate fire on the Lady Vega II and manage to take out her torpedo launcher.
Avalonians

The Avalonians pause for a moment before the RIN orbital defense armada.
Hushed discussion is heard over the radio, and in a moment all of the Avalonians disappear.

And re-warp back into the battle, right next to the MASS and the Praetorians.

The crews of two frigates abandon ship and deploy themselves in boarding pods, ready to take over some Praetorian destroyers.

One of them lands.

And wins the hard fight, killing the defenders for that area.

The other frigates then proceed to tear up another destroyer.
MASS

Formation beta rejoins formation alpha, and everyone fires on the RIN fleet.

They take down the last destroyer, eliminating all of the RIN’s capital ships.

They also drag three gunboats down into their vacuum-y grave.
Lady Vega II

The Lady is definitely not pleased.

And in a fit of rage decimates the Akkadian fleet. But there is only so much one ship can do.
Siri Loyalists

The Siri Loyalists fire upon the Trattorian fleet.

They reduce the Trattorian cruiser to an engine-less, one cannon husk, but on the positive side also destroy the Akkadian boarding squad.
Also:

BEHOLD, THE SPACE-FLEEBNORK HAS ARRIVED!!!
And yes, it’s npc for now, but anyone can step in and claim them if they want.

Akkadians”Robot Monkey” wrote:"You! Traitors! Stand down or face our wrath! Those traitors ruling your government have no power here! We also have no qualms in blowing you into oblivion."

Yes, I have, it’s just that I haven’t had time to enact my plan...NapalmKing wrote:have you considered erasing some of the rubble?

BEHOLD, THE SPACE-FLEEBNORK HAS ARRIVED!!!
And yes, it’s npc for now, but anyone can step in and claim them if they want.
