Feel free to sign up for them-but if the owner comes around then they will be given preference.
Some factions that have no owners include the Brittannians, the Peaches, the Civilians, and the C4 News Team. Additionally, Zipps and Warhead haven't shown up in like forever so it's likely the TTSJ's and the immortals are up for grabs.

I would prefer if a more experienced player would take the Trattorian infantry- not as an insult, but as a big faction it's certainly hard to commandeer.
