United systems Alliance- V-26 "Minister" transport

Post by Silent-sigfig » Wed Mar 16, 2011 6:19 pm

The V-26 "Minister", or more accurately, The V-26 Medium Vertical take off and landing transport is one of the most familiar faces of the United Systems Alliance Aerospace forces. First Put into service in G.R. 1993, the V-26's versatility and reliability are but two of the many reasons the Minister has remained in service for so long. With it's ability to ferry cargo in both atmospheric and non atmospheric environments, No USA task force would be complete without a fleet of Ministers

The basic design of the V-26 has been subject to many variation in purpose. Some variants include Dropship, troop transport, shuttle, support craft, fire support, mobile field hospital, gunship and mobile command center.

Shown Below is the basic "troop transport" variant.

i thought about building a super tank, but all of my plans wound up as a giant flying fortress.

I think i'll rebuild the consul though.

Great design, I like how it complements the Ambassador when they're placed together.

:D This is so cool, I strive to make dropships like this. This, this is something. Nice gun, but yeah I agree the gun sticks out a bit. It is pretty awesome nonetheless.

Reduced the chainguns' length. The sensor boom will remain as it is however.

Overall, this is pretty awesome. The engines are especially nice. The sensor pylon looks like a mid-air refueling probe. Also, lol at the landing gear.

Great streamlined and deadly shape, the engines are amazingly good to look at. I'd increase the missiles and weaponry somewhat but it might make it look odd. But I'd still try.

Very functional, great work on the engines, and I like the probe and chin gun. Nice details including the cockpit controls and the medical case. This build is a great example of a mixed blend of utility and aesthetics.

I would, but the best I could manage without looking weird are some sort of tail-mounted chaingun and bombs. I'll try to add them inn.
