Zupponn Mining Co.

Post by Zupponn » Wed Mar 23, 2011 2:56 am

Hi, I've been lurking here for a few weeks and was inspired to dust off the old Legos again. I've come up with the Zupponn Mining Co., owned and run by Zupponn, a former mercenary-for-hire. Zupponn Mining Co. mines a deep space asteroid belt mainly for Green Transparent and whatever else they can sell. The company also has a group of mercenaries for security, although it is not unheard of for the group to take on the occasional odd job. On these occasions Zupponn himself will lead the mercs... blah blah blah. You probably don't want to read all of that. Here's the pictures(I apologize for the poor quality. I will try to get a better camera and better lighting next time):

Zupponn, the leader of the operations. He is armed with a power mace that can also shoot lasers.

Zupponn Mining Co. is currently experimenting in Hardsuit technology. This model has a drill on the right arm and a cutting laser on the left. Although created for mining, it is surprising how well equipment designed to cut through rock can cut through minifigs.

Originally thought up as precision cutting specialists, these robots quickly found a better use alongside the mercenaries.

And now we get to the mercenaries. The one on the left has a GTC and a laser rifle with rocket attachment. The one on the right has a beam saber and an SMG.

Image
The guy on the left has a nova sword and a machine pistol. The guy on the right has a laser rifle and a katana.

Image
It is odd that the least armored guy carries the rocket launcher(he also has a hatchet). The other dude has an OTC and a sawed-off shotgun.

Image
Our final guy carries a Gatling gun and a katana.

And finally, we have our miners at work.

Great forces! The power mace is my favorite.

Thanks. I pulled that piece out of the box, looked at it awkwardly, and said, "What the hell can I do with this?", and then the mace idea came to me.

Seeing as there was only one set with a single GTC in it (according to Peeron), I would say that there ought to be some significance.

Any transparent material is automatically better than opaque material. These miners look real cool, but they best keep out of the salt mining industry!

Thanks, and don't worry, I don't think we'll find salt in this asteroid belt.
