Overview
The Woodland Raiders were once various warriors in the ranks of the Empire of Lavigrad. Upon serving in the army, many warriors witnessed acts of cruelty and injustice by the empire towards elves, dwarfs, and the people of Govina. One of the many disgusted by these atrocities was Lady Adrijana, daughter of Lord Adrijana of House Hadria. One day while strolling through the city when she was approached by a hooded mysterious figure. The figure ended up being a wood elf named Zhelimir. Zhelimir spoke of the plight of his people which rooted back to the injustices perpetuated by the Lavigrad Empire. The lady was touched by the elf’s story and decided this was the final straw, she would no longer stand idly by while the Empire perpetuated its brutality and corruption. She rallied a few of the warriors her were more loyal to her than the Empire. Those soldiers also rallied others in the ranks of the military who were sick of the injustice. In secret, they planned their escape into the woods led by Lady Adrijana and Zhelimir to pursue a fight for justice. Since then they have raided several Lavigradian marchant caravans, attacked prison camps, and done anything in their power to hurt the Lavigrad Empire. The Empire formally refuses to recognize Lady Adrijana’s band of warriors as a threat, but many within the ranks of the military have aptly named them the Woodland Raiders.
Raiders
Crossbowmen were one of the staples of the Lavigrad millitary. These crossbowmen have turned their back to the Empire and under a long bow specialist they see their arrows sink into those they use to serve.
Skirmishers
Once knights or swordsmen, they have dropped their heavy armor in favor of agility.
Rogue
Rogues are stealthy and specialize not only in sneaking up and silently killing enemies, but also picking locks and setting traps.
Scout
Scouts help plan attacks. They are also equipped with Lavigardian experimental 'powder rifles' which they pick off of caravans they raid.
Lady Adrijana
Lady Adrijana is the charismatic leader of the Raiders. She wields a powerful rune axe she stole from her father's armory before she fled.
Zhelimir
Zhelimir is a battle cleric for the Raiders and Lady Adrijana's personal advisor. He also acts as a liaison between the Wood Elves and the Woodland Raiders. He often receives intel and missions from the elves to carry out against the Lavigrad Empire.
