The Desert of Bells and the Sand Elementals Therein [BB21]

The Desert of Bells, located in the space between the great city of Al'Aswaq and the Temple of Nariin, is known for the haunting sounds of its namesake that seem to ring throughout its valleys at night. Merchant caravans and armed bands alike avoid it at dark, both for this reason and the numerous beasts that roam its featureless landscape, hungry for the flesh of figs.

One such beast, the mighty Sand Elemental, rages with incredible ferocity against all mortal creatures it encounters. An alien to this plane, Sand Elementals are formed when portals to elemental planes open and denizens cross through. Arriving in a desert, it is only natural for elementals from the plane of Earth to merge with the voluminous amounts of sand and rock around them, forming a creature both extremely strong and difficult to damage. Even when destroyed, these elemental intelligences only flee in their energy based bodies to rest and attempt the formation of another body.

Style -8- Good stance and heft to the build, I think the hands and face are well rendered, but the mixel eyes make it a little too silly and the brown reduces the "sandyness" of the build.
Substance -9- solid techniques and part choices overall, just the exposed joints detract from the organic appearance.
Photography -10- Great decision taking these pics outside; it's well-lit and the decking makes an apt environment for the elemental. I also appreciate the stand.

Making organic builds is tough and you did a great job. Some nice techniques, especially making the face legible. I'd agree with ninja, opting for even dark tan over brown could go a long way

Same as above really. Set piece also adds to the scale and imagery.

Outside photos work well for this. Would have loved to see some more posing since it appears to have a lot of pose-ability, but that is just nitpicking.
