[BB23] Brainchild Lane

Post by MadMario » Wed Mar 29, 2023 1:15 am

Brik-by-Brik

Note: This started as a 'Drunken Madness' session, but due to the fact that I´ve build approx. half of it while sober again, I wouldn´t count it for that. Maybe I get another DM entry ready in time...

In a big steampunk city, there´s a road where science, business and entertainment all come together. Where all the best deals are negotiated, the best inventions are made and the best gossip is spread. This place is...

Brainchild Lane

Image

It features an imperial founded laboratory, the guildhall, some living houses, a small jail and a tavern.

Image

It´s always busy here. Policeman on the corner, imperial agents on patrol, postbike on delivery tour...

Image

After getting PTSD from his last battle in the southlands, this guy is spending most of the day at the tavern...

Image

and above all this tower the rails of the electrified magnetic monorail, which connects the city districts.

The Boast:
If the airship was the most tricky build by now, this one was the most lighthearted. The ideas just flew, and it didn´t need any reference pictures or builds to create this, which also astonished myself.

As always praise and criticism are welcome.

Happy Blarney Build!

This is awesome! I don't have much to add really, just that we need way more steampunk stuff in Lego. (I know, :diy: and all)

"Waldorf, what's with the cookie?" "Oh,I've been waiting to compare it to one of the builds." "What build would you compare it to?" "Something crummy." "...you've been listening to the bear too much. Pretty sure you can't use that joke with this build." "So what do you think of this one, Statlor? Remind you of your childhood?" "I'm not that old!" "Aren't you?" "...ok, fine, it does remind me of my childhood. I'm pretty sure I drove one of those cars."

Style
"This is one impressive build! Lots of detailing, lots of steampunk vibe, and I agree, Brikwars needs more of it!" 10

Photography
"I don't think it is possible to give us enough pictures to see all of the details on this build." "Nice white wall behind it again, I see." 8
