Siege Tank

So, Natalya was like......

And I replied.....
RoC77 wrote: I was kind of modeling the tank in Halo when I built her. OOOHHH..... The siege tank would be fun, I think I can build one with the parts from my light tank. (I scrapped one of them for the HSV)

Then this happened.........

Image

It took me several hours to build it, I'm a bit so-so about the retractable arms. I thought of a better design on the way to work today so I might try it out later this week.

In SIEGE mode!!!

In comparison it is a bit smaller than my other tanks.

Also it can fit a minfig, I just forgot to take an inside shot.....

I like it, but I liked the only semi-futurist feel of your old stuff compared to your decades-into-the-future stuff now.

Thanks. Most of my tanks are somewhat designed around RW variants with a little tweaking, and took a lot more time to build than this one. I hope I can get that HSV that way, but I don't have a RW version to bounce ideas reference off of. So, I'm left to my imagination, with what I can do to greeble her up. So, she'll take a bit of time.

I spent several hours building this tank just to see if I could do it. I learned a few things here & there, plus some stuff I could use later. There wasn't too much detail from my reference pics, that's why she's so clean. Also I ran out of smooth dark bley to accent some areas.

Also she's not going to be part of the Union, the parts I used were not extra pieces, I had to borrow here & there off other pieces......

Awesome, Cool, but not truly the Terran Siege Tank. I play lots of starcraft, used to be in a clan and everything until I realized Starcraft is just not worth being in a clan.

Anyways, the Siege Tank doesn't have its main cannon point into the air for indirect fire, the frontal cannons retract, and have the BACK of the turret turn into one HUGE cannon that had 360 fire.

However, that isn't the point. Who cares if you don't have the Terran Siege Tank down, I still think its one god dang sexy tank!

I would just give you a box of cookies if you could make a true Terran Siege Tank.

Dammit Gunney, I hoped no one would notice that..... I was going to attempt it but got lazy, but since I want to redo the bracing arms, I might as well do the turret proper. Hopefully I'll have time this week.....

=( Im sorry RoC, my intimate and prolonged experience with the Terran armies have me at an unfair vantage point in telling you what is or what isn't Starcraft.

if its worth anything, I'll still give you the box of cookies. I think you still did an awesome job.

And really, I do mean intimate..and prolonged.....Medics, Firebats, Marines, Ghosts, Vultures, Siege Tanks, Goliaths, Valkyries, Battlecruisers, Wraiths, Dropships, Science Vessals...you name it, I loved it.

...Well..except the Valkyries. they SUCKED. Their attacks were PATHETIC.

nice. are the two tanks in the middle modeled after Russian ones? because the one to the left looks a heck of a lot similar to a T-90

Most of my tanks are off of a RW version. The one on the far right is based of a T-50, the one beside her is a BMP. My MBT the chassis is based on a late model soviet tank, but the turret was actually on my own. (I had bigger fish to fry tying to mount it properly)

NP Gunny, I was just busting your chops.... I really should do a proper one in the first place. Those arms sticking out just bothers me......

On some other random thought, I was thinking of redoing my ship to look like a SC Battlecruiser! Then I saw this......

I guess I'm on my own on the design.... But I can't wait to see when this guy is done with it.
