I used 2 stud version. The age and condition of the pieces really affects the peformance of the hinges. Some of them are loose and some of them are quite stiff. Comparing the new condition hinges 4 stud versions are a little bit sturdier than the 2 stud version in my opinion.CaptainZebra wrote:Are you using two stud hinge pieces as shown in the picture or the ones with four studs. I have found that type of hinge to be quite fragile.

I've always loved C&C so its great to see you build a mammoth tank from the game
Question: Can the mammoth tank crush other tanks by rolling over them, like in the game?

Otherwise if you'd really like to get your explosives out of harms way, I guess you could build a missile rack and a hatch, protecting the ammunition until it was launched.stubby wrote:The jury's still on that one. Obviously I want to make explosives that explode when you shoot them, because that's hilarious, but I don't want to discourage giant missile racks on vehicles either.
The most likely result is that you'll have to hit an explosive's warhead precisely (-2 to hit), and it'll only get set off on a critical success on the Attack Roll, unless it's a naturally unstable explosive like dynamite or gunpowder or nitroglycerin. So it'll be rare but not impossible.
Anyways, that's a pretty badass tank, Kaplan. Digging the color scheme!

Those minifigure stand parts make good plates for armor. I used them on a few trucks and other vehicles before too
