Nope. On the contrary, I have often felt judges were a little too soft. I'm all for being kind, of course, but not everything presented in every contest deserves a super high score. Not that I've seen anything I can recall that was bad in any of the contests so far but when you're already judging at a 9 out of 10 on most things, it doesn't leave you a lot of leeway to accurately judge something that is truly extraordinary. This time round, Valiant, I felt that you were pretty fair and I'd like to see you as a judge again.Valiant wrote:Probably shouldn't judge next time; my standards are too high xD
Also, and this is kind of a biggie, the points are made up and don't matter. I think I've said it somewhere before, but it's kinda like Whose Line Is It Anyway? right? It's about fun. Winners get bragging rights, a badge, and the respect of their fellows but we all win, really. The whole point of these contests is to generate content and inspiration among members of the community, as well as increase participation and general interest among everyone. Seems to have worked.
