Re: The 2,017 Blarney Build

The results were fairly overwhelming in favor of BrikMason. The OP has been updated with the new badge and title. Thanks for voting.
I still need a Secondary Judge, please.
Finally, the Build is on! Post away.

No secondary judge yet? I'll do it.

Re: The 2,017 Blarney Build
I can't wait to get started! Quick question though, can it have painted designs & weathering? I think they make any build stand out and its real fun to do, but some build contests in the past I've participated in didn't allow it
. I'm also wondering, do we spell things with a "K" Instead of a "C" or a potential "CK" as homage to wh40k greenskins? Or is it just a coincidence.

"K" is more metal and brutal.
Metal is the music of the Brikverse.

Also, generally from a meta humor standpoint, the jokes go that we can't be concerned with trivialities like spelling and that we stand in defiance of elitists who would tell us what to do.
For further consideration of BrikWars Mores, please visit the wiki. Should clear up some general info about the Community's behaviors.
Finally, to answer the question, yes, by all means, please create whatever you see fit. I can't say for sure how it will be judged (we have different judges each year with their own preferences...though, one hopes they keep an open mind). Some folks round here are purists but we're also a contrarian little society so there's also a fair number of folks who would tell the first group to shove their bricks where the sun doesn't shine. My personal view is that customization is fine if it is done well but I'm not a judge this year. The goal of the Blarney Build is to celebrate the joy of building and hopefully inspire others to do more of it. So, in short, please have at it. Have fun and happy building/customizing.
