You shouldn't make blanket statements like that. Mega Blox remain a quick, cheap method of obtaining cannon fodder, and they do make some handy specialty pieces.Robot Monkey wrote:MEGABLOKS???
You little--
I mean, Razgriz, you know everyone on this forum disapproves of those things, right?
As for the planes... some of them have a really nice shape and concept, but they're all a bit simplistic and encompass far too much of the rainbow for my tastes.
Planes or Space Fighters? I think Raz is building some HomeWorld defence fighters should any Nega-Bloks haters drop by for some trouble. I like some of the things going on here and there are some interesting parts I'd use in a nano-second. When I was younger, I used to use anything to hand that worked when ever I could. I was always on the look out for something cool to use with Lego, keep up the good work.

I do have to criticize one thing here and now: the painted figs. I understand that custom colors are cool, but how did you paint these guys? A lot look like they were smudged on haphazardly with paint marker or enamel paints. Incoming unsolicited painting advice:
IMO, it is worth disassembling your figs completely (even arms and hands and individual legs) before painting. Start with a nice, thin primer (gray works well to keep colors true and not overbearingly bright). Either brush on your colors with several watery coats (I'd recommend acrylics here), or spray one or two light, even coats with spray color. Seal with a matte or semi-gloss spray-on sealer to protect the color from wear and keep paint off of your fingers.
I have no advice on the paper decals.
The extra vehicles look pretty rockin' to me, pretty much the kind of stuff I, myself, build a whole lot ofback in the day. Solid and very classic-looking.

oh, that was the part i forgot to add, was something about the painting. i was 10, and knew shit about painting. so i was going to come up with some clever thing about that. i did, but forgot to add it. it was that all my painted figs are in the two retard units, 137th infantry, and the Megablox brigade. it was that the retards painted their armor shittely and thought it was ossum and rolled with it. i never painted a fig after that. because i have no decent painting materials. anyways, thanks, i liked the thoughts on my vehicles. when i come to LEGO i feel like a perfectionist utilitarian. typically i look for stuff that works that look goo, but if i can't make look good i make it work. and in the next few weeks i going to have more spartans, Megablox troops and aerial vehicles, and a few more ground vehicles, as i still have 4 Halo Megablox that i got for Manly Santa Day that i still need to build. also, a sneak peak, i currently designing my space navy. i may need to hit up bricklink, as i don't have every part i may need. for example, brown colored small ramps, wind shields, an anything else. i AM excepting donations if anyone i feeling nice. or that wants to see how well i could build. e-mail me if you can at [email protected]
