Go play Starcraft 2 multiplayer. Build solely siege tanks. Repeat for approximately 10 games. Then after you give up, come back.

I couldn't win at Starcraft even if I cheated.

The trick is to play in teams.OneEye589 wrote:I couldn't win at Starcraft even if I cheated.

Would still totally lose.

Meh, I'd have to agree more with the Equestrian of Death on this one.IVhorseman wrote:You know, I actually disagree. There's enough rocket pods all over the tanks and infantry with bazookas of some sort that cover the anti-air role. The tanks are big and mean enough that they could probably stay pretty far apart from each other while still covering for one another, and since they've all got treads I think the role of mobile support is actually covered quite well too.Bragallot wrote:Okay, ground armies are toast, but now you need some air and more anti-air to be truly effective. That and some mobile support units. The jeep and anti-air thing are a good start.
My suggestion would be something to make your infantry more effective. Hovering flyers like helicopters and other drop ships will not only put up something to stop your guys from getting shot at, but adding rappel lines will allow them to deploy to even the most sensitive battlefield locales - after the tanks have "softened" it up of course. Big open bay doors will limit your cover, but daring minifigs can easily fire from a moving, flying death machine. Or, just as easily from the bed of a supply truck.
The front-line heavy-hitters (The mech and the tanks) all have rockets to deal with aerial threats, while the AA turret would probably hang back and keep the flies off Gertrüde.
That said, I don't think a dropship is the way to go since the Goblin is an Infantry Fighting Vehicle.
It's already providing troop transport AND direct fire support.
I think something that's light, fast, and hits hard would work better, like motorcycles with machine-gunners in the side cars.
They could pick off soft targets while acting as forward observers for the artillery.

Good fast attack is the key to my success. My Def Buggy is infamous for it's ability to wreak havoc upon infantry, circling around them while decimating whole squads. And to think it was designed to be in large numbers.

I prefer an all-out armored blitzkrieg. Nothing says
like an oncoming rush of tanks.

This is also why I have had such great successes with Fynnish Skiirs and Jetpack troops. Also why the Spitfire was such a successful fighter. Outmaneuvering your enemy has many advantages.Ham701 wrote:Good fast attack is the key to my success. True enough, Cybernetic Simian, true enough, but tanks are expensive.Robot Monkey wrote:I prefer an all-out armored blitzkrieg. Nothing sayslike an oncoming rush of tanks.
Not only in Construction Point, but time and actual money as well.
Plus it would be ever so much fun to blow up that mob chasing your bike with an artillery strike!

Quick question, Whiteagle, does your boyfriend call in artillery strikes with you?
Tanks or GTFO.

Wow, I knew you and I were of different schools of thought when it comes to vehicles, but I didn't know you were that insecure.

I'd just rather use an unstoppable iron box covered in guns rather than a dinky little dune buggy.

My buggy is a veteran of 4 major brikwars. We're talking 30-40 minifigs a player minimum. It is hated with a burning passion for it's efficiency. No tank anyone has serviced has been half as successful.
