Thanks :D

Here's a picture of a French 'Adrian' helmet first issued in 1915. From this I see I still need to a little more shaping on mine.

And just out of interest for Steampunk type folk this is a website that has a couple of fascinating pictures of experimental helmets from (mainly) WW1.

Good work on those helmets. I never noticed the similarity until now.

Nice find. I always wondered why WWI armies didnt try to build some sort of bulletproof armor. Technology and materials probably didnt made it possible

They did in fact use armor in The Great War.

Actually, about a year or two ago I came up with some concepts for WWI-II esque soldiers with these helmets.http://www.bricklink.com/search.asp?col ... itemID=725

These look great! Once i get some cash into my paypal account, i'm going to order some stuff of off bricklink and brickarms and make some Canadians. I'd need to find a way to squeeze them in.

Can I have my thread back now?

Thaaankyou.....

A delayed Bricklink order held up getting my Chinese guys into some kind of proper order. I've kept a more low tech approach with these troops, but they are still a reasonably useful bunch of chaps.

Officer on horseback with sword and machine pistol with drum mag, Lesser officer/NCO with automatic pistol and sword (Warlord armies often had white bands on their caps and I might do this yet). Trooper with lightweight artillery piece mounted on wheels; Three troopers with rifles and fixed bayonets; One Corporal with sniper rifle fitted with telescopic sights.

Sorted out some other Character figures who may or may not take part in the soon to happen forum battle.

Lord Fergus McFamish and his loyal manservant and cook Fang Yu. Lord Fergus is ever restlessly searching for the next outstanding culinary experience to place itself in range of his guns.

Though I don't like that many katanas modified, the look good and the idea of katana-bayonets is awesome! And you used a lego horse, too. Some of the troopers look a bit weird with yellow heads and peach hands, but let's assume they're peachskin gloves. :)
