That's bull!
Awesome Minotaurs Rev. Once again you've shown great skill at building fantasy creatures, the droid torso for the head is a NPU. Can't wait to see these in action!

Damn that's good. Reminds me of Bragallot's bulls, but I think these are a bit more articulated.
Can it balance on a baseplate?

Re: Hiimboredagain Raiders (Mini Faction)
Sadly, that is the one thing it cannot do, since the surface of the hoof against the baseplate is/would be completely smooth. That's one of the reasons I've given them halberds; on the uneven studded surface it will help them balance more.Theblackdog wrote:Damn that's good. Thanks for the compliments, everyone! I too am super-excited to throw them into the field of battle!

Keep in mind that they're size two, and can use the weapons a heavy could if he were compensating. including one-handed halberds.

That's one of the things I currently love about them (we'll see this weekend when they get a maiden voyage in battle) and the fact that their shields potentially parry twice as much damage (being size 2 and all)!

Whoah. Those are seriously awesome. I'm digging the heads, and the proportions you've managed to achieve are stellar. Also, that axe is absolute win. Looking forward to seeing these on a field of battle!

Those minotaurs are full of win and NPU.

Stats is what I want to see now.
Really awesome Minotaur, I would love to see on in mostly brown.

I wish I could diversify colors, too, but droid bodies are still pretty limited in color availability. The stats at the moment are pretty basic:*CRAZYHORSE* wrote:Stats is what I want to see now.

Size: 2" / SL: 2 (2d10 armor) / Skill: 1d10 / Speed: 8" / Halberd (2d6) and Great Shield (2d6 parry)
I've given them great skill because they'll serve as the elite combat unit of the Hiimboredagain. I also flirted with the idea of upping the halberds to 3" stats (which would be treated like a minifig's "heavy" weapon), but didn't want the halberd to become less useful after taking a point of damage. The stats for the Alpha Bull are different in that he has a Double-halberd that can function like two hand weapons (size 2) when not using a shield; The Alpha may also get some permutation of the Juggernaut trait that is currently being debated.
But really, i'd love suggestions for some sort of special ability for these guys. I want them to be bad-ass visually and in combat!

I've been working on a skill where upon rolling the use and whatnot, then you would roll d6" and then if there was an enemy in that range then you could shoot/go up to them and attack them, and if you killed them them you could go on to the next enemy, but if you didn't kill them then there would ve some sort of penalty.

Re: Hiimboredagain Raiders (Mini Faction)
I'd suggest a fear-type trait (such as minuses for surrounding units that aren't heroes). Also, a favored enemy-type thing would be cool for hunters in your kingdom (bonuses vs the fear, and plusses on attacking or something).
Another option would be to make a minotaur engineer, and have him be able to build labyrinths. Also, if you could pick up some rocket-droids, that would solve the color-scheme problem, as their bodies are orange-brown.

Re: Hiimboredagain Raiders (Mini Faction)
Yes, a berserker rage might be more appropriate/awesome. It's something I've toyed around with on my Space Orks. What I figured it would be is that upon killing a minifig, a beserker gets one bonus action, which can only be used for a (melee?) attack. An Angry Inch may be used. Not sure if there should be a cap to how many beserk kills can be made in a turn, but if there is, it should only be one bonus kill.Falk wrote:I've been working on a skill where upon rolling the use and whatnot, then you would roll d6" and then if there was an enemy in that range then you could shoot/go up to them and attack them, and if you killed them them you could go on to the next enemy, but if you didn't kill them then there would ve some sort of penalty.

Re: Hiimboredagain Raiders (Mini Faction)
I really like this idea, but restrictions are probably for the best. Restrict it to melee, only grant one extra attack action, and limit it from being usable on a charge. As it stands right now, the charge attack with these dudes is almost more devastating than most of my cavalry charges; being able to chain berserks off that would be bananas!IVhorseman wrote: Yes, a berserker rage might be more appropriate/awesome. I'll look into those bodies, enders. The only next problem is finding the rest of the necessary limb parts in brown or reddish brown...
