A user of the Maytricks is able to perform miraculous feats such as flying and dodging bullets by hacking the laws of physics and reality with their minds. They usually can only do this when they wear black leather trench coats and look completely badass, otherwise the laws of the universe tend to enforce themselves upon the minifig. (They'll look the other way if it's a cool minifig doing it.)
See, we all know that, as far as minifigs are concerned, the laws of the universe are written by the dice-throwing humans, so if they can be convinced to let something fly, then it does. It's easier to convince the humans to let something awesome happen if the unit looks awesome too; if the unit is crap then the humans probably won't let it do anything cool.

This universal law was witnessed in the California Winter battle. No one seemed to have a problem with BrikThulu destroying everything he touched, but when the Hodgepodgians tried to launch a super nuke and destroy half the battlefield, Tuefish and RoC77 intervened and gave Almighty Benny's in favour of the Assyrian hero Regulus using a heroic feat to shoot it out of the sky with his .44 magnum, where it blew up without harming anyone.

Now, the nuke was a big stupid multi-coloured joke cylinder nuke... But if it had looked like the Saturn V or something it might have been allowed to destroy the battlefield.

That or I could be like fuck it and say it's size 2 instead of size 1 (even though it's barely more than an inch spinal column length) and then it would be allowed to carry the cannon under normal circumstances. I try to make up for its insane power by way of increased CP cost, but in retrospect I think it might be under-priced.
Hmm, maybe the unit could have extra weapons by adding half of the cost of one size level for each extra weapon over the normal limit. This idea obviously needs some work but I like it, so I'm going to try and figure out a good system for how the extra weapons would effect the cost/other stats.
Anyone else think its a good idea?

I agree about both of those questions...

Just for the hell of it, thought I'd necro a thread. I've admired this hardsuit design for quite some time and have recently commandeered the style for my futuristic faction. To give credit where credit is due (imitation being the sincerest form of flattery) here are the slight modifications I've implemented.

The elbow and ankle joints are the largest difference, leading also to a triangular foot. All ranged weapons are "mounted" on the right wrist rather than carried.

These "blue" knights carry both ranged and CC weaponry.

At any rate, great design Natalya; thanks for sharing

A most excellent variation of the altimate Knight series. I like the boobs on the chest. Can you show off some more of the articulated posses? Just how articulated are the joints? I'd like to see the gun in more detail too, looks awesome.

I like the sword design, how many knights did you make? I see 2 more in the background.
