The Engel suit is the newest toy to roll out of Neo-Prussian factories.

Image

Like normal troopers, they can wield a variety of weapons, but standard equipment is expected to be Nova claymores and the new Plasma Zerreisers.

Image

Among the grunts they're also sometimes referred to as 'Holy Mothers' because this has been enemy's initial reaction to being faced with these suits.

Image

They're more powerful and at the same time more mobile than regular troopers. Troopers have remarked the armour feels very natural, 'almost like a second skin.'

Image

Several Engel units have already been deployed to support infantry squads, but Prussian scientists are still discussing whether or not it's worthwhile to produce full squads of these armored suits, considering the suit's high cost in relation with its size and the many highly mobile units the army already possesses.

Looking good.

How stable are the joints? Any plans on heavy weapon variants?

It's comparable to a brand new minifig.

I have various kinds of Zerreisers and I think they're sufficient for what is essentially upgraded infantry (especially 'cos the Plasma ones are even larger / more powerful than the regular ones), but I suppose I could always give them this:

That is definitely compensating... :warhead:

One day I am gonna make a small suit that you can actually stick a minifig in, poking out the top. It just needs to be done in a kinda steam punk style.

Having the SteamPunk Twins in my faction was a good idea, as it gives me a reason why all this weird tek keep cropping up...

Damn but that looks cool. I'm hoping to make something similar for the Britannians when I get home.

It's good stuff. Not a ton of frills, just a nice job.

My first thought was Friedrich Engels. This is nice too though, it reminds me of the Terran Ghost.

Sweet mech man, anyway we could see how to build it, Kalvinator could always use some alt skins.

I wouldn't mind sharing some instructions, let's see if I can find the time to make them.

The arms look like they jut out quite a bit in the pictures. Is it less obtrusive in person? This looks incredibly stable.

Would making the legs longer make the arm proportions look better? I'm thinking that a whole brik's height would be too much, but one or two plate's height might do the trick.

You can change one brick in the leg to get a tiny bit more height without ruining the look: http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?P=87087

It is almost the same as http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?P=4070 but does not have the indent and lip that this last part has, so you can have it upright and still put one of those tooth pieces on the front as a kneecap without issues.

This simple change of part would increase the height by about a plate.
