I have finally gotten around to an update! Unfortunately it's not the entire other faction I have. Or even the true state of the Avokhan, who have significantly changed.

Anyhoo, I give you the Jackal Class Interceptor!

Landing Mode

Image

It is called the Jackal because of its similarity to the beast from a certain angle. Not sure if I got that angle.

Flight Mode

A quick under shot, landing gear and such

[x]I'm not sure if the pictures showed it very well, but[/x] Also, the engine rotates. It goes up and down for flight and landing. It's basically the engine from that on force unleashed ship, with red transparent instead of blue.

Engine up for landing/storage,

Engine down for swooshing and destruction!

Armaments are five cannons in front, and two missiles on each side of the cockpit.

This is the most basic form, I'll be changing it or destroying in the future as I see fit. I like so far though.

Update 1:

I moved around some of the armaments, namely the missiles in the front and under the wing and the two guns on the wings. I also covered up the bare studs in the back, and I am very pleased with how that turned out. after these pictures, I moved the cockpit bubble forward a stud because It wouldn't open all the way, but that is not a super visible change.

C&C appreciated.

It's a bit hard to look at (kinda turns into a blob of black at certain angles) but I like the shaping of it.

Agreed, the shape of this thing really is glorious. Especially the fact the engine rotates. Good work old chappe.

@Zahru, I put some (hopefully) easier to see pictures up.

@Scythe, thanks!

I like the shape you have going here and the engine, but it might be better if you could cover up some of those exposed tan studs with something more interesting.

I reckon the tan actually gives it a fairly unique contrast of colours, when was the last time you saw a black/tan colour scheme around here?

Merc, do you have any pictures of the engine rotated at all? I wanna see if the lines of the ship carry through to its alternative mode.

In all honesty, the open studs were bothering me also. I have since made some changes, which I will post in a bit which are in the OP. For now here are the engine rotation pictures:

Like Scythe mentioned, the engine is really is the major cool characteristic of the fighter, however, I'd give it a sleeker and patterned look if you got more sloped black and tan bricks around.

Awesome work. The changes you made give it a much smoother shape and keep the unique color scheme.

The rotating engine is really cool. I love it.
