Luchardsko Military - 2015 Update

Sorry for the bad pictures, I took them last summer before I packed up my legos, so I can't retake any.

The Empire of Luchardsko is one of the strongest forces in the Czechland Sector, rivaled only by the Tredorian Republic. Luchardsko controls almost 1/3 of the sector, giving it a large population to draw it's recruits from. However, it does not have as advanced technology as its rival. Luchardsko's military is composed of 3 sections, the Navy, the Army and Special Weapons, also known as SpecWeap. The Navy is currently the most dominant of the sections, due the fact that they control most of Luchardsko's space assets. The Army maintains its own spacecraft for insertion onto enemy planets and limited FTL travel, however they are mostly outdated craft, forcing them to rely on the Navy to shuttle them around. SpecWeap is in charge of R&D into technologies recovered from other nations, giving it a large amount of power in Luchardsko's military structure. However, they still need to partner with the other sections to develop costlier projects, such as the Scylla class dreadnaughts or the Prometheus SHe/HoDTs.

Overview

Image

The officers command both the Navy and the Army, I need to think of a good way to distinguish them.

Image

The Order is a paramilitary organization operating with loose ties to Luchardsko High Command. They can function in almost any function, but generally operate as officers or with troops dropped behind enemy lines. Individuals are selected by The Order based on skill within the military or for other "special" skills, like proficiency using magic, the Farce or other superhuman powers.

Image

The main part of the Army's manpower is made up of legionnaires. Equipped with light body armor and assault rifles capable of using a variety of attachments, they are a force to be reckoned with.

Image

Each 6-man squad of legionnaires is led by a sergeant, distinguishable by their grey helmets and chainswords. Assault Rifle attachments (left to right): bayonet attachment, SAW variant, under-barrel grenade launcher, AP rounds, UBGL, UBGL.

Image

The marines are split into two groups. The ones on the left deploy in shipboard combat, and the right group, equipped with jetpacks, are used for space and ground engagements.

Image

Heavy weapons specialists are assigned by SpecWeap to both the Navy and Army, and are equipped with a variety of weapons and equipment.

Image

Image

Drop Troopers are used by SpecWeap for space combat and orbital insertions. Their armor is equipped with a jetpack and a experimental shield projector to help them in their duties. Their weaponry is also highly advanced, a railgun rifle and a beam-broadsword.

Image

These soldiers are equipped with prototype powered armor being developed by SpecWeap. They will probably end up being heroes.

Image

One of the main parts of any Luchardsko military deployment is a contingent of hardsuit equipped troopers. The hardsuits are adapted for the branch they are used by - Army has better armor, Navy has jetpacks for space combat and SpecWeap have better systems and equipment. The rightmost two are SpecWeap prototypes.

Image

During planetside deployments, the Army will bring with them portable machine guns, auto-cannons and bolters to help defend key positions. They can also be towed to temporary fortifications if needed.

Image

The backbone of larger scale campaigns are the mechanized units. The most wide spread armored vehicles include (left to right) the Lynx and Prowler tanks and the Jaguar APC.

Image

Another large part of the Luchardsko military are mechs. Like Harduits, they are designed for various roles, such as orbital drops, pure fire-power or mobility. Left to right: Centurion mech, Centaur battlewalker, a dreadnaught and Icarus orbital drop mech. The Icarus has large jumpjets, shock-absorbent pads in it's feet and heat shielding to allow it to drop in from orbit to support orbital insertions.

Image

Image

The Centurion is equipped with two Nova Swords attached to its wrists for CQC, and can fit a pilot inside.

Image

Image

The Prometheus has not changed since the last update, but it can fit the Lynx and Jaguar inside it for quick deployment.

Image

Image

The Vulture Variable-Form Fighter is the product of adaptation of the Scythian technology by the SpecWeap section.

Image

MAPH speeders and small dropships provide soldiers with transportation while deployed on a planet's surface.

Image

The Falcon heavy fighter is Luchardsko's answer to other nation's space superiority fighters. The Kestrel shuttle, while outdated is still capable of rapid insertion and extraction in enemy territory, while keeping a large cargo capacity.

Image

The Albatross helicopter, while being atmospheric-only craft, is heavily armed and capable of similar cargo capacity as the Kestrel.

Good stuff, I think you have a good balance of uniformity and neatness in your army.

I was talking about Prometheus. Sorry I could't recognize it from the overview photo at first look. Now I saw it.

Lovely army with a matcing colour scheme, I wonder if you could tell me how you made those marine shields in the left group?

Thanks! The shields are made using three pieces: 1, 2, 3
