Something I tend to do is buy medium to large sets, and keep them together until I get an idea for re-assembling them into something else, I did this with the Naboo Flash Speeder a while back, turning it into a ramshackle BTR esque APC.

I've now torn apart set 60014, and turned it into a futuristic "floating tank" rather than the generic search and rescue appearance it had before, Parts of matching color are turning into a scarcity, so here's what I could manage.

I'm not sure how this fits into BW because I've rarely ever seen "water" ships, I'd like to eventually make a proper starship but this will do for now. Here's the "Tiger Shark class Assault Ship" a fast, medium armored green water naval vessel used to support coastal operations and attack enemy shipping in contested waters. This ship requires a crew of 5, but can carry a significant number of troops or supplies. It's crew consists of a helmsman who drives the ship, a Gunner, who controls the ships primary weapon, a Commander, who coordinates the gunner and driver as well as operating secondary weapons and communications. and two auxillary crewmen whom maintain equipment across the ship, manage repairs, operate the tertiary weapon and repel would-be boarders.

The Ship's primary weapon is a high powered, extreme long range rail gun, controlled remotely by the gunner in the cabin below
It's secondary, mid range weapon is a series of homing missiles meant for ship to ship combat or artillery support, found on the stern of the ship and controlled by the commander
It's tertiary and short range weapon is a heavy machine gun mounted on the bow of the ship

Closeup on control cabin - Right now these "Naval" Officers are unmodified coast guard, but personally I think as they play such a miniscule role in the Elkan faction, that the color scheme is fine. The Army is White Black and Orange, the Navy is White Orange and Blue, with different uniforms.

My next project in this series of "transform stock shit" is probably going to be the 60074 Bulldozer, Although I have no idea what style, or whom to give it to.

Nicely done! I especially like the engine room detail that you have here.

Looks nice. I'd personally try to do away or hide the Coast Guard emblems and stickers; they break my immersion. Like the person above me said, you did a great job on the engines, but you have a lot of empty space between it and the control cabin, which is a real shame. If you want ideas for filling it, you can add:

-a galley
-crew berthing
-a sickbay
-an armory

But if you want to reserve it for storage, that's cool, but maybe separate it from the control cabin with some bulkheads like you did with the engine room (again, real nice).

Just my 2 cents.

I could probably fit -some- of those things in there. but I'm saving both interior and exterior parts for when I make an actual ship, like space ship.

Coast Guard can probably go, but I kept a lot of stickers on there because Orange is supposed to be the secondary color for the faction.

So very impressive as I see it very much well done. Looks like you give more effort to come up on this kind great creations. Keep up the good work.

Obviously this particular Tiger Shark ship is named the "Coast Guard", which is a legendary Elkan ship known for its service in the conflict of '82. Initially named as a joke, the ship single-handedly held off the invading Undead Deadly Spacemen for four hours until reinforcements could arrive. Now only the best of captains can command the vessel as it is oftentimes used as the flagship of the Elkan fleet.
