The Forces of House Gaunt

Haven't come up with a backstory for these guys yet, other than that they defend a small galactic federation. And that they are led by my sig-fig.

Here's a horribly blurry overwatch:

Image

House Gaunt is led into battle by Hieronymous Gaunt, a mighty lord. He wields a light green transparent beamsword and carries the crest of his house on the shield. He is flanked by two Shadow Serpents, mysterious guards who may or may not be human. They are each equipped with a rifle, shield, and katana.
Image

General Whiteside, commander of the ground forces, and two captains. The general is old and nearly useless in combat, but he provides morale boosts and tactical advantages. The captains wield light green transparent blades and pistols, and are attached to squads of regular infantry.
Image

The elite force of House Gaunt is the Ranger Division. A very small but highly-trained force, they act as scouts and spec-ops. They are equipped with G-36 rifles or an MG.

Image

House Gaunt does not field much in the way of armor, but they do use the Basilisk tank to support infantry.
Image

Equipped with anti-armor cannon, there is also an anti-air gun and anti-infantry machine gun on top of the turret.
Image
The tank can seat 4 inside (no pics of interior, sorry).
Image
A$$ shot, showing the access hatch.
Image

Basic infantry of House Gaunt. They are equipped with assault rifles and an LMG. Note the medik and scientist in the back.

Marines:

Last but certainly not least, the explosives team. Equipped with dynamite and a big-ass rocket launcher, these guys can blow pretty much anything up.

One more shot of Hieronymous Gaunt for good measure:

Thanks for checking these guys out!

These guys have a very Vietnam war look, I like em. The marines look like Americans and the rangers like Australians. :tiger:

Here's a new unit:

Image
Nightrangers are the most bizarre unit fielded by House Gaunt, a combination of modern technology and archaic weaponry. They are equipped with bows as well as night vision goggles.

In close combat the Nightrangers use another bizarre weapon, a hammer:

New vehicle (7/31)

Peregrine Assault Glider:

An older, rustic design by GauntCorp. This glider has foldable gull wings, as well as pontoons for aquatic landings. See below:

The Peregrine is armed with an autocannon on each side, as well as a dual chaingun under the nose. This chaingun folds up behind the communications array during landings.

Thanks! My advice, or rather my personal building technique, is to take a minifig and sit him on a small plate. Then I gradually enclose him using various SNOT techniques and the rest just gets tacked on. Just try building cockpits and I'm sure you'll come up with some unorthodox concepts.
