Not sure I see the irony. Sure, we have a few elitists here who like to tell folks what they are and aren't allowed to do but, I mean, most of us just ignore them don't we?

In reference to my further comments, I suppose I could see that, turning around and telling someone to go "read the rules." But, then, it was a suggestion to clear up confusion and they aren't rules at all...just a collection of ideas that can be dismissed out of hand if one so desires.

Maybe in reference to contrarians being contrary to themselves and other contrarians? That would make the most sense, I'd guess.

Yeah, I don't see a problem with that. I think we had one of those last year. Significant changes to your previous build qualifies as a new build in my mind. I'd prefer entries not be reposts of your older material but when I specified "original build," I am instead referring to not copying someone elses MOC. Borrowing ideas is fine, obviously, but not a brick for brick recreation of something you saw on Flickr or whatever.
