New Camera, New Stuff (Sort of)

So, yeah, it's been a while since I've posted anything, but now that I have my Lego with me, spare time, and a fancy-dancy camera, I plan to start doing more things.

Anyways, here's some oldish stuff that I spent a little time updating:

Image
These guys used to be my Manly Men, but I guess that they could be M-Throne troops as well nowdays.

Image
The dual heroes for the faction. On the left we have the one-armed OTC chainsaw guy. On the right we have a dude with an OT hammer. I'm not sure if I like how the OT came out in these pics.

Image
Here are the dual chainsaw "lieutenants".

Image
The pistoleros.

Image
The Axemen. Crazy sons of a bitches that will charge straight at any enemy. They know no fear.

Image
And the normal riflemen. Nothing too special here, except that these guys love firing their guns, even if it's just straight up in the air.

And now, BATTLE TIME, er DIORAMA TIME!

I decided that I wanted to see how my camera took pictures of battle scenes, so I threw the M Dudes up against the ZMC. Sadly I couldn't field the whole ZMC, but just a sizable portion of it.

Image
Overview from one side.

Image
The M Dudes are overtaking this hill.

Image
Overview from the other side.

Image
The other hill has less troops on it, but it looks to be in the ZMC's hands at the moment.

There are some things that I should change for next time I take pics, but this was a good experiment to see how my camera works with capturing Lego pictures.

Yeah, the lighting available to me wasn't the greatest, but I also purposely left the pictures a little darker after running them through photoshop because lightening them up too much was taking out some of the detail, especially on transparent Legos. In the battle scene I was able to lighten things up some more because nothing was as close up as the minifigs in the army pics.

Thanks!

If you feel that they are close enough to be M-Throne guys, then they'll probably be used for that in the future. They were originally Manly Men, but I think that M-Throne is a lot more relevant nowdays. Glad you liked them though!

Pro tip if you want your pictures to look slick, invest in a white backdrop large thin poster board works well. Get rid of the yellow light and replace with white light and then some very quick after effects and your shit will look like a million bucks.

Maybe, but that sounds like a lot of work.

I used old white box lids and torches to make my light box, no thing's even stuck together, but it works and I can dismantle it whenever I need to...
