The Shades Brigade

A short time ago, in a society built on badassery, a shades-sporting minifig got bored and sought out the legendary shades of cool. Legend has it that these shades would grant the wearer an unending aura of cool and 4cm of smouldering handsomeness. This minifig found the shades, and afterwards went in search of the most badass individuals he could find to from the most badass team the brikverse had (probably)never seen before. A year later he died to a knockoff and passed the shades of cool onto a new leader. That team was called...



Howdy folks! The first time (ever) I tried to actually play brikwars, I couldn't wrap my head around the rules. Although I did end up keeping these guys seperate from the "drafting" (shoe)box I currently have filled with minifigs, their parts and a bunch of weapons and terrain pieces. Ended up giving them the name "Shades Brigade" and recently have named each individual member. Without further ado, here they are.


Starting with the leader, Lex McShades. Here he is executing a bootleg minifig point blank.

Lex is only the second member to lead the team. There will be lore on him in time but for now, enjoy his 4cm of smouldering handsomeness.

Next up, Orange. That's what they call him since they don't know his name seeing as he never speaks.

He likes doing things up close and personal so he gravitates toward melee weapons and will just use a gun as a club if you give him one, even if it's loaded.

And here we have the twins! Aptly named because of their matching outfits and matching guns. Only way they can be told apart is their pants and hands.

Black-pants/hands guy is Trigger and the other twin with matching shirt and pants is Switch. You usually won't see them too far apart from eachother as they are bros after all.

And this concludes the Shades Brigade's introduction! First armory post so it took a while to get the hang of things (mainly getting images to work)but I hope it turned out alright. Do look forward to a soap about Lex's backstory (if I actually get around to it)which will be linked in this armory thread. Until then...

As of late, a new member has joined the Shades Brigade. He was found mowing down his former gang, once the shooting stopped, Lex did not hesitate to approach and invite Mike into the team.

Sporting a heavy chaingun, Mike wastes no time in mowing down however many enemies in his way and enjoys every last moment of it. Especially the feeling of the recoil reverberating throughout his body.


Here he can be seen mowing down bootleg after bootleg, without showing any signs of stopping. Even after the bodies have dropped. What can you say really? He likes his guns big and loud. And his enemies dead and full of holes.

is there anything more brikwarsy than building whole factions around minor cosmetic details and then declaring war on everyone who doesn't fit in?

Hailing from a police precinct, Chuck came to be the gunslinger he is today after the events of Ragnablok ravaged his town. Steadfast and hard to budge, the one thing that got through his rocky exterior however, was the first sentence Lex spoke upon their meeting eachother, "Long time no see lil bro." Lex could've sworn he saw a single miniscule tear in Chuck's eye that day.

Reason for helmet is bc I don't have a police helmet. This will be fixed when I eventually do find a more fitting helmet.

Oh and he hates ninjas. Like, REALLY hates them. Something about them being "no-good acrobatic-pointy-stick-wielding-bandana-wearing assholes."

Ask him why he hates em, and he'll just grunt, spit on the ground, and respond with "I have my reasons." Apparently Lex knows what these reasons are but all he'll say is "No comment." How typical.

At times, the shades brigade often showed up late to the party. In order to fix this, they hired their first chauffeur, and his armoured car. That chauffeur's name, is Parker.

Nobody knows what it used to be, apparently Parker added on to it over the years.

Sideshot. Machine gun up top, single shot missiles in the back.

Ladder on the side to hang onto. Other than that, not much else to say.

Driver's cab. Room in rear of vehicle for dudes.

Parker tends to keep one hand on the wheel, the other on his gun just in case.

Everyone piled onto and into the vehicle.

Orange likes "hanging" out on the side.

Eventually will build some more fitting jeeps for the shades brigade but for now, this armoured car will do.

I absolutely love this. The action shots (and all of the pictures, really) look super good. Your lore blurbs also feel very brikwarsy to me. Good stuff!
