A few UGR infantry and a Panzer III are marching down a dirt road boarded by a dense forest.

The men are at ease, because they know the front lines are many miles away.

But wait! It appears as though some British Expeditionary Force soldiers are about to give them a bad day.

The UGR are unaware...

The BEF wait tensely for the signal...

Conflict is inevitable...

Hmm, this one is going to be tricky.

Style: 6. It is well done, don't get me wrong, but it has been done before. A lot. Mind you, that does seem to be a unique MOC for the Panzer - I did some snooping online and couldn't find that exact build anywhere else, though someone else might have other places to look. Still, kind of blah? Definitely not a very unique build.

Substance: 9 There is a lot here, and while is isn't unique, it is well done. Nice build on the road, looks very authentic. Love those trees and the placement to make a realistic looking forest section.

Photography: 8 Nice viewpoints, but slightly out of focus overall. Still, a good selection of views and viewpoints from many different angles.

Theme: I'm sorry, but 4. It is tricky, because it doesn't really relate to anything on the Discord or the Forums, because as a general rule we don't discuss either World War. It fits a military theme, but while well-done, it has also been over-done. No specific characters, and while specific factions are listed, it just comes across as kind of generic.

*Sigh*

Style: 3. I am mostly giving this score due to the source material...which has been done to death so much and so often that a necromancer couldn't get that dead horse to rise again. It shows a definitive lack of imagination on your part, especially since you entered it in a contest. If I were running the contest this sort of entry would be an instant disqualification, hands down.

Substance: 5. And that's a super generous score. Your saving graces are the background and natural features, and I'll leave it at that.

Photography: 7. The one shining star in all of this mess is I can clearly see what is going on from the angles provided and you must have at least a decent camera.

Theme: 0. This is frickin' BrikWars, if you can't come up with something whimsical to AT THE VERY LEAST rename the factions to something we could ignore for even a short time, then perhaps some self-revaluation might be in order. I'm not the only one who's sick to death of seeing uninspired WWII era factions and builds while offering nothing new or thought provoking to at least pretend to take the viewers on a journey to somewhere besides the same place they've been a thousand times before and they couldn't stand it then.

Just to weigh in real quick. I leave any given entry in place for two reasons.

One, I am not an admin (or even a mod on this particular subforum). I assume if a post violates community guidelines or rules, it will be taken down by an admin. Anyone who takes issue with a particular post should, of course, feel free to report it.

Two, I think if the post is offensive enough, the community (and the judges of any such entry) will not hesitate to tell the original poster exactly that. A poster who posts such content should then proceed to feel really bad about themselves. And, ultimately, if any entry gains enough opposition, I (as the contest manager) will remove the entry from the running regardless of whether it garnered enough opposition to see it removed from the forum proper.

To that end, for any contest I manage, for any entry in those contests, if the judges unanimously agree, I will remove an entry from running.

While it seems from the other posts that this is a little controversial, IMO this build doesn't cross any lines... that's my take. I may not like the subject matter but I'm just going to judge the build itself.

Style: 7
While realistic military stuff isn't my cup of tea, I'd say this captures the feel well. It has the right balance of realism and LEGOfication. As has been said though, not a particularly unique theme.
Substance: 9
Great details on everything really. The tank has nice shaping and greebling. The details on the minifigs are very nice. And the foliage is quite well done. I appreciate the details on the terrain base too.
Photography: 9
The photos are well framed and make sense for telling your story. I like your tricks with the camera focus. It was pretty cool that you were able to mostly hide the BEF forces in the first photo.
Theme: 4
While I respect the effort to build your original storylines with these real-life inspired factions, it still feels mostly like realistic war stuff for now. And as far as I can tell, it's not a reference to anything from 2022.
